Can anyone tell me how to attach the ground wire to the light fixture? I see that the ground comes attached to the plate, but not the fixture itself.

The GROUND FIXTURE WIRE is bare copper metal wire, with a green ground wire screw, screwed on the mounting plate. Connect th GROUND FIXTURE WIRE to the GROUND J-BOX WIRE using the plastic wire nut connector and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed.

How to install the shades

The shades hook onto the bulb from up top.
