Nice trowel for more control
I have a few trowels acquired over the years (cheap and pricey). I quite like the trowel and the size suits me - I don't do much (hardly any) bricklaying and it can be years between jobs.If you're a professional bricky you may like the size and the nimbleness and dexterity it gives you. Or you may think it's too small and slows you down on how many you can lay in a day. However, as I'm just a DIY'er I'd recommend this size and shape to new DIY'er looking to lay a few bricks to repair or build a new wall/BBQ etc. I would avoid going to the DIY store and just picking up what will likely be an 11 inch stiff trowel as it's too big to control if you don't have any practice and it'll put you off bricklaying fast. You'll figure you're no good at it and forget about doing it yourself. If you want a good trowel you have to be looking to pay £30-£80 and going with a name brand that has done some research and design into what makes a trowel good to use. While a trowel is not the only tool you'll need it's essential to get one that works for you and remember it will be in your hand for most of the day so get a good one.

Poor quality
Very poor quality only had this trowel two weeks and the handle has come loose, nice feeling trowel ideal for pillars but the handle has let it down back to Marshall town I go

WHS/TYZACK
Started on these way back in the 70,s now 51 years on the trowel , so maybe looking through rose tinted glasses but despite negative reviews from some I reckon it's a nice trowel ,good balance , nice lift and easy on the wrist the blade is not as rigid as the old style but this assists a nice clean cutoff with your mortar joints, all in all a good decent bit of kit ,use your brick Hammerton cuts.
