Sleeves come to 1 1/2 to 2 inches from elbow joint so short sleeves may be worn if they are a bit longer than the muscle shirt. I contacted seller and their technology department will study the idea of adding back muscle padding. I hand wash with a cloth or sponge and don’t ever get the pads wet.
