I just put this on my nails yesterday evening so if anything changes I will add to this review. I have been biting my nails for almost my entire life and I’m a boomer. My nails are very bendable and seem to tear easily. I stopped biting almost three months ago for a special occasion. Since then I have been regularly oiling my cuticles and my nails are growing. But still very fragile. After putting on the butter nail rescue I sort of forgot about it for a few hours. Then I began to notice they were hard when I touched things. Not flexible any more. So far they are very hard. This is amazing! I’ll keep on caring for my nails, but this is the first time I can remember them being so resilient and not all bendable. Very happy and hopeful! I recommend. One thing. From the reviews I read about the top of the bottle being in two parts. Knowing that, I easily pulled off the decorative square lid and easily unscrewed the inner top with the brush. It does seem very short, but I don’t care as long as the product is good.

My nails peal, are soft and get torn up constantly. This base coat has biotin, which I researched and found to be the best ingredient to help my condition. It has been very helpful. My nails are much improved when I use this product.

This stuff works! Makes nails strong. You can layer with new coats everyday and the product stays flat and shiny. Doesn’t clump or bubble. My nails are so thin and I am so happy this works. Photo after a week of use. Expensive but worth it!

I love this base coat on its own. It doesn't dry out my nails and applies smoothly. I would like to say it helps my nails' health, but I've been diligently applying cuticle oil so hard to say. My one con, and for me, it's a big one. I only paint my toes for reference. This base coat, though, doesn't keep my polish on my nails! The polish bunches and peels right off. The first time, I thought my polish was old (ok it is) and needed thinned. The next time I thought I painted my toes too close to bedtime. But, thus time.... I painted them on a Wednesday evening. The next morning, I had to touch up on toe before I flew. I wore slip on, closed toe shoes on the plane (but not tight at all). By the time I got to my destination 4 toes were messed up. On one the polish was bunched; another a spot missing; and the polish was completely off the last 2. I picked off polish on my skin on the bunched toe, and the whole nails worth of polish came off. Fortunately, I had brought my color with me. I touched them up (no base polish), wore sandals for several hours. The next day I wore sneakers foe several hours. I had holes in the polish on 2 toes, both ones that had base coat. The toes with just color polish on them were fine. I really want to love this base coat. I do think it's good for your nails. But it's not for me. * side note, the black cap pulls off, don't twist. There is a round twist cap underneath.

The base coat does seem to help harden nails. Regular nail polish recently seems to corrode my nail beds so I thought I would try this. I've been using for about 3 weeks now with 2 coats prior to polish.

I have always had weak nails - they tear and chip easily. Also allergic to formaldehyde, so buying nail products is tricky, and this product does not start me itching and breaking out with rashes. I purchased base coat, nail polish, and topcoat a month ago. My nails do look a little better and are growing a bit stronger, but more time will tell. The product goes on nicely and dries quickly. The bigger problem is that I can look down and see that a nail is bare - the whole sheet of polish just fell off. I can peel it of in a sheet - no polish remover necessary. This can happen within several days of use, so I stopped using the color, and then it is not so obvious if I am out.

This nail strengthener is great! My nails have never been so strong or as long. I finally have the nails I’ve always wanted! The only complaint I have is the brush is so short that even tilting the bottle on the side allows you to use only about half of the polish. It is too expensive to waste. Please make the brush longer!!

Updated: changed my review to 1 star. I have used this product for a while and it was magic. My nails were in the best condition. Recently bought a new bottle during prime days and thus IS NOT the same formula. The polish is flaking off, is thinner and is doing nothing for my nails. Not sure if this is a new formula or if I fell victim to a fake product from Amazon. For the price, I am reluctant to chance ordering it again. Orginal review: I started using this to help fix my nails after use the dip polish for a year. My nails have always been thin and prone to breaking, which is why I had them dipped originally. I started using this product in January and 7 months later and I actually have to clip my nails because they don't break as easily anymore. I went a week without it last month and did regular polish and my nails all broke that week. The only thing I dont love is that regular polish doesn't work as well with this as a basecoat so I have pretty much only had clear on my nails for 7 months, but they are the healthiest they have ever been! This is far superior to any other nail strengthening product I have ever used.

I've been using this for just over a year now. I wore acrylic nails for 20 some years. My nails were destroyed from the acrylics. My nail beds were jagged and missing portions of nail. I decided to remove the acrylics and try to repair and regrow my nails. Other products I tried didn't work at all. I use two coats of of this once every week or two and it's worked amazing. I now have healthy natural nails. It took about 3 months to grow my nails out past the horrible ridges and holes. I have healthier, longer, and stronger nails than I did way back before acrylics. I love that the polish doesn't have the normal strong smell. I love that it stays clear and doesn't yellow. I love that it really resists chips and peeling. I now use it as a basecoat and/or topcoat with my nail strips too. It's a great repair and protect polish.

Best product I’ve tried. My fingernails tend to split at the tips. If I use this product about once a week, I find my nails much improved. The ends don’t split and crack as much. I don’t use nail polish or gels of any kind because my nails become too brittle. This product makes my rather short nails look tidy and nice. I will continue to buy this Butter product and recommend it if your nails have the same problem as mine. I also like the fact that it does not contain really harmful chemicals and is not tested on animals.

This is a really lovely product to put on (a bit of a smell but doesn’t have formaldehyde, so less smelly). Goes on smooth & gives your nails a nice sheen. My nails were flaking & the top layer coming off on some nails & polish doesn’t stick well to it - this product didn’t help at all with that, unfortunately so I’m trying some other things. But regardless, I will keep using this product as my clear nail polish as I like that it doesn’t have harsh chemicals & is better for my nails. I use the London butter for yellow nails on top, not bc my nails are yellow but just bc it gives it a milky sheen. I’m worried about the bottle shape & brush, as eventually I will have to tilt the bottle w each application which is a bit of a nuisance. For now there’s enough product but I can tell it will be an issue. That’s the only reason it lost a star.
