Very nice bowl and great buying experience!
I have a limited foray into Tibetan singing bowls, although I am a professional musician and know instrument quality. I think the bowl sounds true to what it is. It produces a clear chime when struck. It was easy to produce a singing tone. The fundamental is very nice, and overtones aren’t strident — the instrument seems well balanced tonally. This is a legitimate instrument. The bowl is of good quality. The finish is not perfect, but then, this is a handmade instrument and tone is the issue, not the appearance, in particular. Although the bowl is very pretty. The mallet is nice — balanced, nicely finished, and appropriate for the size of the bowl. The padded ring is of good quality. The bowl, mallet and ring came well-packaged and padded. The seller has included an informational pamphlet with the bowl that’s a nice touch. I was also impressed that they reached out to me via email shortly after the package arrived. The email thanked me for the purchase, and included a downloadable PDF instruction sheet, including basics on how to get the bowl to sing, as well as two or three alternative methods of playing. The bowl looks nice adorning my meditation altar, and will make a nice sound addition to my practice. I use sound in healing work, and the bowl’s clear tone will be of benefit in that regard. It’s not museum quality, but it’s not a toy, either. I feel the integrity of the craftsmanship is up to snuff for the purpose, and is honest in its quality and presentation. Although there was no problem with the bowl, the seller seems to be easy to work with, and offered up front to be contacted if there were to be a problem. I’m confident that customer service is excellent. They seem to know their stuff, they care about their product, and they are involved in the mediation/healing community. I thought the price was fair, and I like that the instrument is sourced from local Nepalese people. Just good juju! If I feel I need another bowl, I shall consider the Ohm Store first. If you’re considering a bowl, but unsure which to choose, or unsure if you could work with the bowl, my experience with this bowl and this seller gives me the confidence to recommend them. I had never worked with a singing bowl before, but I had it singing in less than a minute. The bowl and seller are energetically very positive. Don’t hesitate.

Great quality, price and sound
Amazing value! So peaceful and copper color is great. Lightweight but sturdy. Gentle sound and pretty to look at.

Sounds great
I ordered this on a whim only having had minor introductions to singing bowls. It is fun to learn to play and does have a grounding impact. But what do I know!? I uploaded a recording of the play to an AI tool and this was its analysis: Key Observations: Fundamental Frequency: There is a strong peak around 440–460 Hz, suggesting the bowl’s rim tone may center near A4 (440 Hz) or slightly higher. That’s quite rare and clear for a hand-hammered bronze bowl—nicely tuned! Overtones: Noticeable harmonic peaks appear at intervals above the fundamental (e.g., ~880 Hz, ~1320 Hz), indicating a stable overtone series. This type of harmonic alignment contributes to that soothing, resonant shimmer during rim play. Sound Character: The strong, focused peaks (as opposed to a chaotic spread) suggest: Good craftsmanship and metal purity Even wall thickness A more meditative than ceremonial tone profile, though that can shift depending on your mallet and playing pressure.

Awesome gift
I have purchased four of these this year lolz. The price for the gift box is the cheapest I’ve seen it. It says on sale which sounds right because I got this for a friend years ago (same company ) and it was so much more than $19. Couldn’t get over how great sale was in the gift box!. It’s a cool gift people do not expect. The presentation is fantastic- box is beautiful. Can’t say anything negative other than it takes a bit to learn, but it’s more about the fun. And if ya give it some time you will be bowl singing before ya know it!! Great precut- hand made, good quality with a coool, beautiful sound

Cute little singing bowls
These are great, they have excellent tones and I love the brass look. They are decently small which I much prefer it to the huge ones. My only complaint is that sometimes the wooden piece will make a skipping sound along the edge of the bowl if you go faster with the motion but it’s easily avoidable if you’re slower with it.

Beautiful melancholic sound
Disclaimer: I have zero experience using one of these so I'm just going by my uneducated opinion. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas as part of a themed meditation gift basket. Sadly, she decided not to spend Christmas with me :( So I was boxing it up to return and decided to see what it sounded like. I'll admit, I had to look up a YouTube video for instructions on how to use it but it's actually quite easy! Just hold the small end of the wooden mallet in your dominant hand making sure to keep it straight and vertical. Touch it to the outside center of the bowl and slowly, without lifting the mallet or losing contact, run the mallet along the outside. If you do it with finesse, you'll be rewarded with a deep, loud sound. It's not a chime, it's not a ring - it's something deeper. My dog is not a fan. But there is something satisfying about it. I could see someone using it along with their 'ohm' part of meditation (or in place of). I don't really know what that is - I'm Catholic - but I know it's similar to prayer which is separating yourself from the here & now and letting your mind free to focus on positive things. I think this would make a great gift for someone who is spiritual but not religious. I actually bought a gratitude journal, ayurvedic lavender soap, imported incense, a candle and some essential oils to go with the whole package, which unfortunately I now have to return, but it might give someone else an idea of a nice gift to give someone you maybe don't know well, or who is sick, recovering from something or maybe would benefit from some introspection.

It's Great! I Love It!
I'm absolutely new to singing bowls and this is my first one and looked at videos on Youtube to see how their used. So I'm gonna tell you my experience from day one of receiving it up until now, which will be useful to other first time users. When I first unpacked it I bugged out on how small it is. Now I knew it was gonna be small from the reviews on it before purchasing, but I just didn't realize how small until I actually got it in my hand. It's stark small. Even in my small hand it felt too small to use. I was trying to rotate the wood stick around the edge and was feeling awkward like this thing isn't made to be held, not to mention that I wasn't getting a sound from it. But this was really my inexperience and being a stranger, not the size of the bowl, which I gradually discovered afterward. It's a day by day thing. Now it comes with a little note on a card with a friendly greeting and a how to use it link to download, but I found the website address to be nonexistent or the address not given correctly. Numerous hits came up with none of them being the actual Ohm Store selling this bowl and offering any download, and I was a little frustrated with that. But I didn't panic and start thinking that I've just been gypped, and Googled how play a singing bowl to read something about holding and playing it. Which turned out out well. And so I suggest not bothering with the note. Don't aggravate yourself with that, on what will appear to be a wild goose chase. I hope that the Ohm Store will get around to correcting this feature. So now that I've obtained a grasp on how to hold and play it, I still found it awkward to hold and play. The only sound I could get from it was by striking it on the side. So I sat the bowl down on a bed table in front of me, and was able to play it that way. I could actually hear it singing with the striker stick circling the edge. And this had me convinced for awhile that the bowl is made too small to use in your hand. And I then realized that that way was a problem too, as the bowl was sliding around on the table. Which is what kept using it in my hand in my intention. So for day one's practice, I played it little in the only way that I could, on a table, and called it a day. And I took a couple of shots at it later on in the night on the table. For a total of 3 tries on day one. Now on day two, amazingly, I found that I was able to play it in my hand. Not well, but playing it. Now what happened? What was the difference between today and yesterday? The difference was acquaintance. I was a total stranger to the bowl yesterday and more acquainted with it today. So I found that you have to become attuned to the world of sacred sound. The effort you made on the first day isn't forgotten by the other side your connecting to. Okay, now on day two I'm playing it my hand, and it still felt awkward. And today, like yesterday, I put in a total of 3 tries and called it a day. Okay, now on day three, I decided to use the ring with the bowl in my hand, with my hand opened, fingers not touching the bowl. To give it some height that may allow me to circle the striker more smoothly. And to my surprise, I was playing that bowl much much better. In fact, the sound got louder and louder as I was circling, like a symphony, and I started feeling a very strong vibration in my hand that flowed up to my forearm. The difference as far as I can see, is acquaintance. Each day brings you closer to the realm of sacred sound. And I found the bowl to feel comfortable in my hand with the ring. Well that's all I have to tell you for now. I've been using it for 3 days. It's a great bowl, I love it, and are grateful to have it. Kudos to the Ohm Store for kicking out a wonderful work of art at an affordable price, and I highly recommend this bowl to everyone. Especially newbies. All in all, the tiny size of the bowl isn't an issue. It has nothing to do with the function and quality of the bowl, and if you are new at it, you will experience the same break in period with a larger bowl. In fact, the small size of the bowl makes it perfect to carry with you.

Not worth the money
-- First of all, it's a machine made Bowl and not handmade. -- Size is too compact, 3.5 inches only. -- Two mallet provided with bowl but it's very difficult to produce OM sound from this bowl. -- It's more like a souvenir, not for meditation. -- Bowl build quality is good and it's bit heavy. -- If your budget permits then go for handmade bowl.

This is made by machine.
This is made by machine, so not sure why it says handcrafted, but is still a great sounding bowl none the less.
