Homemade Marshmallow Kit
This is a wonderful kit for making marshmallows, resulting in 18 perfectly formed marshmallows! I have not used this for brownies, so I can't comment on that, but I put all the pieces in the dishwasher, several times now and have not seen any compromise in the non-stick surface as mentioned by one of the reviewers. If you make marshmallows, you simply spray some cooking spray on the pan, covering the sides and bottom, add in your sifted powdered sugar and cornstarch (or your preferred coating), toss to coat, pour in your marshmallow fluff, then let it dry overnight. The next day, push the bottom through the pan, this should happen very easily. Replace the bottom into the pan. Coat the cutting mechanism with cooking spray and your powder, then push through. Raise the bottom again and remove the perfect marshmallows! They make very large marshmallows, which I really like! For smaller, just re-coat the cutter, raise the bottom, and place the cutter over and up an inch and re-cut.Excellent! Marshmallows: Homemade Gourmet Treats

The Last Review You Need to Read
Like many, I saw the Perfect Brownie Pan Set on TV. More than once did I think, "It can't possibly be that perfect."Well, finally, I broke down and ordered one, before really reading any reviews. After placing my order I came here and looked through the one star ratings and became concerned that I had wasted my money. Then I looked through the five star ratings and found that all the complaints listed in the one star ratings are VERY minor and unwarranted. It shows me that those people didn't take the time to read the paperwork that comes with the pan.I love this thing. It does exactly what it says it's supposed to do and it's extremely easy! To love it the way I do (and others who have expressed their adoration for this product) it's a must to do two simple things to not be disappointed. One you MUST line the pan with foil. I would recommend enough so it comes up and over the pan to prevent the inevitable leaking. If you line it, you will not have a giant mess on your hands. You may still have a little bit, but the foil keeps it from leaking into your oven and makes clean up easy. Two you MUST spray the pan VERY well with cooking spray. This prevents the brownie mix from sticking to anything. Once my brownies had cooled for maybe five minutes, I set the pan on the stand it comes with and pulled the dividers out with incredible ease. Then I flipped the stand over and POP the pan itself slid right off the brownies leaving me with 18 perfect little squares. The only thing I was disappointed in was the size of the brownies, but this thing is so easy, it's easy enough to make another batch of brownie mix and cook up another batch of brownies. So I got over that quickly.Clean up is easy as well. The foil and the spray are your friends here so use them liberally! In closing, anyone who wants perfect brownies, I HIGHLY recommend the Perfect Brownie Pan. You can't go wrong.

This is only half as good as they advertise it to be
Well, I didn't use Pam as it was advertised in the commercial and my brownies stuck badly - to the divider. Actually I have never before have brownies that looked like the bad one in the commercial but this batch, my first in this pan, does. I love the lift out bottom and will simply ditch the (really cumbersome to store divider) which is sad, because It might have been a good idea if it ACTUALLY WAS SERIOUSLY NONSTICK.What I reall like is the lift out bottom, My mum had a tarte form way back that could do that and for the life of me I don't know why anybody stopped producing such a great product so when I saw this I was really excited. NOw However, I am disinchanted. It may be that using deliberate amounts of fat will keep it from sticking but think about this: If you have a good coating of fat in a regular brownin pan and place a wide strip of wax paper underneath the batter you'd save all the fat that you now are additionalls baking into each individual browning and simply cut them to size. so the *invention* really isn't half as good as they say BECAUSE THE DIVIDER IS NOT REALLY ALL THAT NONSTICK

It works a lot better than I thought it would.
I bought this not having the highest of expectations, but I am happy to say that I was disappointed. The pan works great, exactly as it should. The only drawback/problem is that it is just a little bit too small for most brownie receipes that I have or have found. When you would make a batch of brownies and fill it up, the brownies would rise while they were baking and cover the divders. This made it a little difficult to remove, at first. A simple adjustment to the receipe to cut down the volume and all is well. Aside from that one little flaw, which was easy enough to correct, I like this pan.

Make your own adaptions
I don't bother with baking with the insert but use it as a cutter. Getting even size bars is worth having the insert. As to the 'leakage' problem, yes, I experienced that. I solved it 'tho, by cutting a piece of silicone baking material to fit the bottom of the pan. Works very well. The material I use comes from a roll, not the silipat roll out material, and it's designed to go in the bottom of baking pans for easier clean up. Just put the silicone right over the removable bottom. No more leakage. Complaints about it being a small pan? Who actually is satisfied putting a 9x13 box mix into a 9x13 pan! You wind up with really thin brownies so I use a 7x11 glass dish. Now I don't have to because Perfect Brownie pan bakes perfect sized brownies. By the way, I discovered that I can use the pan for slice and bake cookie dough! I made a triple batch and it fit right in. I've hunted for 39 years for a pan that I could press homemade slice and back cookie dough.
