I use it llike a long straw to blow coals into flame. It allows me to direct my breath more effectively, and to do so while still sitting upright (rather than having to lay down on the ground with my face close to the coals, where ash tends to blow into my face and on clothes). It's also handy when cooking with my Emberlit box-style camp stove. The stove burns more efficiently with occasional puffs of breath to increase the intensity of the burning wood, and it's easier to direct breath through the small airway openings using this tubing. Also, this good quality latex tubing has enough stretch and strength to double as an serviceable tourniquet--so it's good for two functions in one.I ordered three feet, but found that two feet was enough for my needs. The tubing is easy to cut with a scissors to the desired length.My only (small) quibble is that this tubing arrived in a soft mailing envelope, taped in several places to a cardboard stiffener. The stiffner did a fine job of protecting the tubing, but the masking tape turned out to be annoying and time-consuming to peel off the latex rubber. As I tried to peel it away, it would cling to the rubber and tear into pieces that then had to be picked off tediously. Not a big deal--it took about four minutes to peel away the four or five pieces of tape--but I would've preferred it to be twist-tied or something easier to remove. I'm not sure if this problem is typical, but it was the only negative issue I found and I'd still have no reservations about ordering this tubing again from the same supplier.If you're looking for good quality latex rubber tubing with 1/4" inner diameter, look no further. This is nice stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Wrist Rocket tubing *by R***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2016* Finally managed to make replacement bands for a wrist rocket & so far, the 3/8" x 1/4" tubing has exceeded any expectations for use with a wrist rocket. This tubing is by far better than buying the OEM replacement bands, I have been chasing (not harming) the critters out of my 50' pecan tree, had been using OEM replacement bands & might get 3 days (if using 5/16" or smaller projectiles) before the tubing would tear rendering the wrist rocket useless. Made 3 replacement bands so far, spent this afternoon launching 5/16" & larger projectiles & whatever else laying in the yard testing the new band & could not be more impressed, can stretch this tubing further than OEM & without fear that the tubing would tear when a solid pecan shell sored past the 8th backyard mark passing the old 4 yard mark history.Purchased 3/8" x 1/8" tubing as well, still trying to achieve same tying method as shown in pictures, but, with the thicker walled tubing, will take a bit more creativity to pull the loops back through itself to secure the leather pouch. When I use up the current 10' tubing to create the new bands (which there are no unforseen reasons it will be even better), will update & post pictures with an updated review.Highly recommend this tubing over OEM replacement bands that costs double the $$$$. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tube *by Q***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2019* Exactly as described. Easy pull, strong throw with major momentum. It's very easy to work with and easy to cut. I'm using this tube on a giant slingshot in order to get my climbing line into a tree. There is no twist so after I've launched my weight bag (which is tied to my throw line) it does not "roll over" and tangle in my line. It was very easy to splice into my leather pouch which holds the weight bag. If it ever gets cut or destroyed I will purchase this tube again. Fast shipping and packaged well.
