This grilling basket is a must if you grill fish. Living in the Pacific Northwest, salmon season makes for a lot of grilling of fillets. Have this basket makes it a much easier process to get a properly cook a fillet without it sticking to the grill or drying our the fish. Placing it in the basket allows for you to easily turn the fish without worrying about the skin burning or sticking. This is huge if you want a nicely cooked piece of fish. Being able to control the meat easily makes all of the difference.It's also great for any other meat that you want to control without destroying it when it's time to flip it over. No more losing a burger through the grill grates...….The locking mechanism works like a champ and the handle is long enough to keep your hand and arm hair in the safe zone so you don't burn yourself or your hair..Cleaning is a bit of a pain, but so is anything else that resembles a grate. Give it a soak in warm soapy water prior to scrubbing and it comes clean pretty easily.

I just received this and have not used it. It's made of 100% Chineseium. It's thin and light weight, which is okay as it will do the job. The latch to hold it closed is a spring metal clip, not sure how that will work out. I can see it opening up when you turn the thing over, or not. Time will tell. I squeezed the latch together so it snaps harder and it seems strong enough. The scary part is the black finish on the wire. They say it's non-stick, but it looks like black paint. Given the origin, I'm dubious. It it starts flaking off on my food, then I'll try again. But it may never happen, need to give it a chance. For sure, the price is commensurate with the quality so it's a good value if the finish holds up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Hard to find in stores.

This is the perfect device for making sweet potato fries on the grill. I have been able to use this device, along with a couple recipes I found, to make crispy fries. Getting them to crisp is a real challenge. This device works pretty well, not perfect, but works better than anything else I have tried. Since this basket clips the food into place, turning things is a breeze. A bit more money than I think it should be, and the locking mechanism is flimsy, but I would buy it again.

Simply put While this app Well this appliance looks pretty good It has designed flaws that make it essentially useless. I'm sure others have said this but The handle is made from plastic that melts easily If it gets 2 near The barbecue Grilled. You cannot tell that it's melting until you reach for it and burn your hand.I thought the Nonstick coating would be advantageous But it too cannot take high heat of barbecue flame And after a couple of uses Even though using Non metallic cleaning brushes it rusts Because the nonstick coating has been burned off. In my humble opinion don't waste your money on this. Get something that is stainless steel or Get something that is stainless steel or equivalent.

It's bigger than I needed but that isn't something worth knocking a star off for. This will easily cook 4 burgers at once. If I had to change one thing I would've added a couple inches to the pole (which doesn't extend or anything). It's long enough to keep you away from the fire but not by much. Otherwise, it's fantastic and I would buy it again. The grip is very nice, the whole thing is a good quality metal and shows no signs of wear after a few uses, was easy to clean. Yeah, I'd get it again for sure.
