Night of Yalda: (In Persian & English)

This is a really adorable book! The illustrations are lovely and it's a very cute story. Its great for bilingual learners because every page and English and Persian text side by side. The text (at least in English) is probably at the level that a 7-8 year old could read alone. I really recommend it for anyone bringing up inter-cultural kids.My only criticism of the story: It's never "too cold" to play outside ... you just have to dress warmer ;)

Charming with gorgeous art. Fully illustrated with bilingual text. Yalda night explained for kids and/or cultural introduction to Persian Christmas essentially.

Loved this book and the explanation, my daughter of course was over the moon reading it and learning about her Persian side.

I got this book to get my kids (6 yr and 4 yr old) into the Yalda (Chelleh) spirit and they both loved it! It's a beautifully illustrated book with a heartwarming story. Absolutely recommend.
