Great purchase!
This privacy film worked great for me. I used it on a buffet cabinet that has glass windows in the doors. I wanted to shield everyone from all the things that I store in there. I had a bit of trouble separating the film from the backing. I tried all of the directions and tips. I ended up spraying water on the corner of the film and that helped a lot. Itโs kind of like separating a plastic produce bag at the grocery store! Once you figure out what works for you the rest is great. It cut well- went on easily (use lots of water) and seems to stay on nicely so far. I am glad I purchased it! Perfect solution for my needs!

Perfect!
Beautiful, substantial, easy to install.* An elegant way to get the privacy I want! *I did make a template out of a big piece of corrugated cardboard, and that made it much easier to cut it to the right size.

Easy to apply, remove bubbles, looks classy
I have applied my share of window films and due to issues experienced with most, wasnโt looking forward to applying this one on a glass exterior door. Surprise, surprise, after throughly dousing the window and the film, I applied it starting at the top and worked out the bubbles as I moved down. No issues, easy to apply and the bubbles came out very easily with a plastic baking tool that looks like a scraper. Trimming it was very easy using a broad bladed scraper held against the inside edge and cutting with a utility knife with a new blade. I applied a frosted film to the window and it now has a classy look. As long as the film doesnโt dry and begin peeling off, Iโll be a happy camper. I like how it subdues the glare on the floor from the sun yet allows plenty of light into the hallway. The last photo I took reveals that at the top, it may be coming lose as it dries. I may contact customer service to get their take on what could be done. I had to deduct 1 star due to this.

Love it! Buy it.
Easy to install, live on the first floor and didnโt want neighbors looking into my place but also didnโt want to block the beautiful lighting. This works perfectly! Blocks view from people, but allows sunlight into my home. I love it!

Frosted covering for privacy
Covered my bathroom windows with this. Easy to install. Gives you privacy. I bought the frosted and the gray. The frosted I used on three small windows in my bedroom and it works and I love it. The gray gives a little more darkness and privacy for the bathroom. I would definitely suggest this product for anyone looking for some privacy especially with a huge bathroom window. I now can open my window blinds and have a little light and not have to worry about anyone seeing me.

Easy enough installation, needs more quality control for several reasons - READ ON!
I purchased several rolls of this in the opacity called Pure. A few factors drove my purchasing decision: THE ABILITY TO GET IT QUICKLY, attractiveness, opacity (I wanted maximum light transfer), and ease of installation. This wasn't the quickest of deliveries, but I didn't have to wait awfully long for it, so that part of the transaction was acceptable. Unfortunately, when it did arrive as two separate orders, one of the rolls delivered to me was white instead of Pure. Irritated as all get out by this for reasons I'll explain in a minute, I referred back to my order, and whoever packed my orders just flat out sent the wrong item in white instead of the correct one in Pure. This is *really bad* because now, my windows now don't match, which just looks like a trashy after thought - and that's an aesthetic that I wasn't going for, so I'm definitely not pleased with that. I would have gone through the insanely inconvenient hassle that is a return on Amazon, except that my #1 reason for ordering this was that the delivery was quick. This was purchased to accommodate a foster dog with reactivity issues who was having a rough time with visuals outside of our house: I needed something fast for his needs, and something matching, with acceptable opacity and light transfer for mine. I was flat out stuck with what was sent to me, as by its delivery time, there just wasn't the luxury or time for a return. I'm still salty about it. To make things worse, the roll of white arrived with creases that penetrated the entire roll, which presents adhesion issues during install and gives you areas afterwards where the film doesn't cling (also displeased with that). Rolls that aren't perfect shouldn't ever leave the factory OR a third-party shipper due to the nature of the product. Lastly, none of my rolls are the lengths stated in the item's description. I measured all of my windows in advance and should have had enough left over for a few more small windows if I needed it; instead, I'm significantly short. All of these things combined means that I now have a large window that had to be "patched", and since my films don't match, it looks like a hot mess. If I'd have received everything in Pure as I'd ordered, this wouldn't be noticeable to anyone but me, but with all the mistakes combined, it makes me bitter every time I look at it. (Patchy windows look bad from both inside and out!) On the positive side, it does cling very nicely. If an area pulls away, just mist the area and squeegee again to remove bubbles. I suggest using a straight edge/T-square and razor blade knife for cutting crisp edges. Have a large area for triple checking your measurements and cutting. The protective film backing sticks a little too well, so be prepared to wrestle with it and become frustrated. You'll get it off eventually, but that was the worst part of putting it up. It repositions easily, so lining up edges and corners isn't a big deal if you find it's going crooked. Large windows require two people or the weight of the film will pull it down if you're trying to put it up alone. While I'm not big on having my windows covered, it's been a really handy solution for my purpose and it would be nice after investing the time to size and cut it all to be able to re-use it in the future, though I have no idea how you'd store it. I do like the way the Pure looks, but would only order again if I could be certain that I'd get the correct product in the actual length stated (this is too expensive to not get exactly what you've paid for!)

Huge installation learning curve, but worth the effort
First, let me say that this product is exactly what you think it is. Second, I have yet to install it properly. Learning curve is huge if you have not installed something similar before. By nature, this product is difficult to manage and very strategic to apply but if done correctly, it satisfies very very well. I almost was able to apply successfully by myself and it performed exactly as expected. Just be prepared to waste a few sheets before you are able to apply successfully. Highly recommend a clean obstacle free environment to install and 2 to 3 people to help hold and position the product during intricate application, anything less and you will waste more of the material, just be frustrated, or end up with tons of bubbles and creases. I recommend also sticking one edge while pulling away the opposite edge, then using the pressing tool as an applicator working your way grandually and smoothing from the stuck edge to the pulled away edge until it fully is attached.

Works great & wasnโt difficult for a novice
I had to do something to get some privacy with 18 individual window panes on an exterior door. But I didnโt want to lose the light, as those windows are the only ones on that side of the room. After reading reviews here, I chose the white film. I made a template of the window size with paper and traced it onto the back of the film, then cut. When cutting, I tried to get as close to the actual dimension of the window rather than leaving much extra because I find it kind of hard to trim it on the window after applying it. I cleaned each window with rubbing alcohol. Then I did the *hardest* part - getting the backing off the film. Took forever!! Finally figured out that it was a bit easier if I kind of roughed up an edge by scratching my fingernail along it. I had bought a small supply kit for applying the film, and it turned out to be invaluable. It came with a small spray bottle, a plastic scraper, and a small squeegee. In the spray bottle, I put water, some white vinegar, and a squeeze of dish soap. I applied that liberally to the window before applying the film. I directed the spray specifically at the top edges of the window, the top corners, and the side edges, then some sprays in the middle. Applying the film was easy. The scraper from my kit did a great job. The squeegee was surprisingly helpful on some bubbles that the scraper didnโt get. Sometimes I needed to switch up the tools on the same spot, just rotate through them. I was able to get all the bubbles out, or nearly all. I tested the windows out for privacy at night and the white film is great. Canโt see inside the room. I applied it at night so I havenโt seen the daylight effect, but I did see how much interior light was visible outside when I was testing for privacy. It showed a nice glow, so I think the sunlight will come through nicely. Iโm not handy, but I was able to do this. If you get your tools together, measure carefully, use water/vinegar/dishsoap liberally, have a couple different scraper/squeegee things for getting out the bubbles, and have a little patience, you can do this! 4 stars because I donโt know about longevity, but Iโm thrilled with how it turned out on Day 1.

Leave it to the professional for bigger mirrors
The product is good but to do a large panel of glass you really need the skills to do it and to cut the size so you donโt mess up the job. unfortunately for us, nope it did not work out. We hired a professional to do the three panels of glass we had and paid less than we paid for these items on Amazon.

Cant Peel Off!!
Chose this because of the great reviews. But it was a horrible experience. Firstly, I just couldn't separate the film from the sheet at the edge. Gave up after 10 minutes and called the Mrs. with longer nails. It was quite a struggle for her too. When we finally managed to, the protective sheet just couldn't peel off properly, tearing in multiple places after which it was impossible to remove the sheet. Tried 3 times. Had the same problem. In the end, my patience just gave away and I ended up dumping it in the bin. I'm surprised to see so many customers had it so easy. It was a real struggle for me and the Mrs. who tried too after I gave up. She called it quits after the second try. Defective/Fake product?
