I wouldn't have believed it, but it's very decent!!!
I was very skeptical about buying this jacket. I have reached the age where I care about protection if I fall or worse.....so I bought this and I am pleasantly surprised! It's good fitting, comfortable jacket. I think it actually looks better in person too. It has quite a few pockets. As for protection, it is what it is.....an inexpensive jacket. It has some foamy armor padding on the shoulders and elbows and back. Not bad, but not comparable to a top level jacket. I don't ride crazy, and I mostly ride my scooter so this is good enough for me. Another thing.....it is heavy. If you are used to wearing a t shirt only, you will notice how heavy this jacket is on your first long ride. It's really pretty solid material. I honestly can't believe you can get a jacket this good for this price. BTW....I have not been in rain with it so I put five stars but I have no idea how it does. It does help you keep warm in colder weather.....50 degree weather I am good. It does seem to be able to get some air in it to breathe. I think it would be miserable in 90+ temperatures. Overall I am impressed with it. Good purchase!

Worth EVERY penny
I read a few reviews. Living in Spokane WA, between the weather (it gets COLD) and people who don't look for motorcycles, I decided to invest in safety gear. I was shocked how comfortable and warm this jacked was. The pads are perfect! They don't slip around. Lots of straps and snaps to tighten up. The only thing I did was tighten around my wrists. In mid 40 degree weather this coat was AMAZING! I was WARM. Almost debated about taking the liner out. I have an abundance of jackets and coats but I was tempted to turn this into daily wear just because of how comfortable it is. I have LONG arms and womens jackets sleeves are always too short so I buy men's. This is just WONDERFUL and the PRICE is GREAT too! I like things on the loose side so the 3x provided that extra room plus you could wear layers under with no squeeze issues. I could probably have done a 2xl or xl but for my comfort this was PERFECT. Looks good, feels great and definitely keeps you warm. Can't wait for the weather change to see how it feels in warmer weather. I'll update when that happens.

Better Than Expected
Given the low price, I had very low expectations for the quality of this jacket. However, when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and robustness. It is a serious riding jacket! The cordura-like outer shell is heavy duty, abraision-resistent. The protective shoulder, elbow, and back panels are firm rubber for impact and skid protection. The removable inner liner makes it a decent cold-weather jacket (which I don't need), and once removed, the outer shell is still sturdy but lighter for warm weather riding. I'm impressed. (I'm 6'2", 180 lbs, and the medium fit well. It is a bit wide but long enough in the arms.)

Wrong size - Decent Jacket
I ordered a Large and received a 2XL. Other than the slight inconvenience of returning and waiting on the right size, the jacket is quite functional for the price. No horrible smell. No ripped seams or tears. Plenty of Velcro and snap closure adjustables. Pad protection and jacket liner are really nice. Zipper air vents on the front of jacket, at top clavicle, (neat location) and back of jacket are good but they could be better. I haven’t worn it on a ride so I can’t speak to the wind resistance, however given the look/feel of the fabric - it's really only waterproof in a brief or light rain - you will get soaked if this is your only covering in a storm.

Fantastic value
For the money, this is a great jacket. I am 5’9” 200lbs and got an XL. Fit is good, could have been an L but needed a bit bigger to get around the belly. (This is the husband reviewing) sleeves are just a tad longer than I would prefer but work out fine. Rode it without liner in temps 50s to low 70s and it was great. With liner it was very comfortable and should be warm down to low 40s. I removed the armor as I have never had a jacket that was comfortable with armor in.

I'm thrilled with it.
I received my gear last week and was waiting for decent enough weather to ride in to give it a try. I chose poorly. It was 41 and sunny when I left, and 32 with rain and snow when I got 50 miles away. I'm in Wyoming, riding in the middle of December, so I wast shocked. That ride told me all I needed to know about cold weather in this gear. All I had on underneath was boxers an a T-shirt. The gear kept me warm, dry and blocked the wind. It was everything I could have asked for. It wasn't a comfortable ride temp wise, I was scraping ice off my visor for the 50 mile ride home doing 70. The gear though, that made it do able. When I got home I wasn't chilled to the bone. I could use a hot drink to warm me up. Very impressive in cold Temps. I got an XL jacket and size 36 pants. They were both spot on for size. It all fit well, no pinch points or rubbing. The pads were where I needed them. I could fit another layer underneath if I needed to. Perfect fit. 100% will recommend to my friends.

I wish I had this my first day riding/training. Great starter jacket!
Before I bought this, I took the MSF course and crashed on the last test. Fell on my right side and skidded on my shoulder. A week later, on my retake, I wore this jacket. I didn't crash this time, but it started raining. I was the only person not miserable. The fit is a little big but it has adjustment straps. I think the armor inside could be better, and I'll upgrade soon enough. I've taken it on many rides since getting my license, and it's been perfect. Without and with the liner as the temperature dropped, it has blocked wind, bugs, and cold perfectly except for the neck strap. I feel that across my neck a bit too much some times. It's hard to adjust that out. Anything at the bike shop is 3 times more expensive and only slightly better in design. Will I upgrade to one of those... Yes. Will it be soon? Probably not. I would maybe buy a size smaller because I'm a large tee shirt kind of guy and I'm almost swimming in this one, if not for the straps and velcro. I've gotten compliments on the style! I'm getting their riding pants next. Excellent material! Comes in other styles if this is too loud.

Excellent Fit and Finish!
I sat on this for a long time because the reviews were all over the place but finally pulled the trigger. Very impressed with the fit and quality of this jacket. I normally wear XL but opted for the large and glad I did. 5’9” 210 lbs fits like it was tailored for me! Very comfortable and you can’t beat the price. It’s well worth it and highly recommend if you’re on the fence.
