There is a Rainbow

This book is exactly what we need right now. It illustrates all the images we have lived through during the pandemic- from zoom calls, to rainbows on windows, to chalk messages of hope. It also identifies the feelings from the pandemic- sadness, isolation. All this without actually mentioning the virus or the lock down. It is familiar yet slightly subtle. It is beautiful in its simplicity and its message is a wonderful reminder of the positivity that can exist in a time trouble. Its pictures are exceptionally illustrated and colorful, perfectly complimenting that sense of hope and resilience that the words provide.

This book is a colorful book of Hope! It helps children and adults understand that we are all in the pandemic together. It gives hope that tomorrow will be as beautiful and colorful as a rainbow. Take a peak under the books jacket to see more art work that will inspire hope. This book made me hopeful . It is a must read for everyone who needs a little pick me up in these crazy scary times.

I loved how this box gives hope to small children that better days are ahead. The rainbow symbol is one that everyone loves to see and brings a feeling of happiness to everyone. You can see on social media the enthusiasm when a rainbow appears by all the pictures. This is a book truly made me smile and I am looking forward to giving it to my niece so she has it for her baby.

As a father of three, I loved reading to my young kids. This book is a easy read. Its colorful pages will allow you to ask your child what they think. I think children during COVID-19 need to see that one day this virus will pass. My three kids are older now. I am waiting for grandchildren to read to. A plus is helping Project Hope. Thank you for a well written book which is nicely illustrated.

I was lucky enough to receive a digital ARC of this book, and the first thing I did once I finished was order a hardcopy for myself to have and keep. It's just plain gorgeous. The art! Those colors! Those rainbows! But best of all is the message. It's one of those picture books that's not just for kids; parents are going to be reaching for this book because *they* need to feel the kindness, hope, and optimism. Though especially perfect for these times, this book will serve later as a reminder of what the pandemic was like, and the message that good things can come from hard times will stay fresh forever.

If you've got littles in your life, I could not recommend this book more highly. (For that matter, it's an encouraging message for adults too.) My children literally gasped and shouted, "Awww!" when they flipped a page and saw an illustration of a child attending virtual school. The timely subject matter paired with the timeless message of finding strength and hope even in adversity will brighten spirits of all ages. After the storm, there is a rainbow...I can already tell this one is going to be on my kids' reading rotation a LOT in the coming months.

This book is a gift. Heartfelt and compassionate, the author and illustrator deliver a message of hope and togetherness we need for our children (and their parents). Not just in these tough times, but forever. It has quickly become a favorite for our boys and I am grateful to the talented team who gave it to us.
