All you have to do is warm up a bottle on the stove while you are getting ready to leave, put it in the warmer, and about 30 minutes before your baby needs to eat activate it. Since breast milk is perfectly good at room temp for 6-8 hours I never had an issue. We often heat up more than one bottle before we left for a big event, like a wedding for example, put each bottle in an unactivated warmer. Once we get to our destination we activate one, about 30 minutes or an hour later (whenever he got hungry) our little one drank it, and then we would immediately activate the next one, which kept the second bottle warm for the next 2-3 hours, and so forth. When we got home we put all the COOLED OFF warmers in a big pot of boiling water and bam, 10 minutes later they were ready for the next outing.
