No Brainer Upgrade.
My Sky Q box recently received the HDR update and the difference was quite remarkable. When it comes to HDMI leads I've never spent crazy money on the for the simple reason, as the experts point out, it's either HDMI or not. However the standards have improved over the years just as USB has evolved into USB3 and network cables from Cat5 to Cat8 for faster data transmission. My existing leads were Amazon Basics HDMI 2.0 leads and they worked fine, connecting my main TV, a 55" Sony 4K@60Hz UHD with 10 bit HDR to my Sky box and PS4. However when I got the Sky HDR update I decided to buy some new leads and went for these Primewire - Premium HDMI 2.1 cables. At below the cost of some HDMI 2.0 versions on offer I thought you can't have too much bandwith, which is what it's all about so, I bought some. They arrived quickly. They are very well made with a braided outer sheath making them not quite as flexible as non braided versions. They fit the HDMI port nicely without having to force them in. On the picture front, I wasn't expecting a huge difference over the previous cables but, and I know the experts will probably sneer, the difference in picture quality is simply remarkable. Whether I'm watching something in HD, 4K UHD or 4K UHD HDR the picture just has more pop. Scenes are sharper, colours more vibrant and blacks are blacker. I've been watching "This Strange Rock" with Will Smith and been simply stunned by the quality of the picture. I didn't tell my wife what I'd done and the first time we watched the TV together she asked me what had changed as the picture was much better. I'm so impressed I've now fitted these cables onto my other 4K TV which is connected to a Sky mini-box and my desktop PC. Again, a noticeable improvement can be seen, especially in HDR games such as CoD WWII. So, either the previous HDMI 2.0 cables were not what they were suposed to be or the extra bandwidth of these 2.1 versions is transmitting more data. Not very technical or scientific I know, I'm just reporting what I see. But, if you're looking for HDMI cables, why buy the older 2.0 version when you can get these for less than a tenner. It's a no brainer if you ask me.

Excellent HDMI cables that don't break the bank
I needed to update my HDMI link between my AVR and TV. This cable easily copes with my UHD 4k 60Hz 4:4:4 (including enhanced HDMI) video content devices. All audio formats also work without any clutches. Admittedly, I have not tried it with 8k as I don't have an 8k tv yet. I've recently updated all my HDMI cables with Primwire and they all work perfectly; and it didn't cost me the Earth to do it. These cables are very well priced; do not be put off with how cheap they are. Here, you get alot of bang for your buck. This is a prime example that you don't need to break the bank to get quality.

I havnt tried this cable yet as its just arrivedbut the build quality is a1Its atleast twice as thick and heavy as the 4m AviBrex 8k cable i ordered the other dayConnectors look high quality and braiding looks goodSo if weight and thickness is any indicator of quality it should be good

Good but it's a thick cable
Be aware this is quite thick and I had to change the size of my d-line trunking to accommodate.

Dolby vision does not work with these cables. I'm going to return.
Was looking forward to setting up new lg CX TV with the excitement of being able to play 4k Dolby Vision content via Nvidia shield box. Using these cables Dolby Vision does not kick in as I was expecting.
