Tastes clean
Used to make hazelnut creamer for my husband, he loved it. I struggle with hazelnut creamers because I think they taste like straight chemicals and this doesn't have that same taste . I did have to use almost half the bottle in about 32oz of creamer

Hazelnut is worthless!
**Attention: This review is for the hazelnut flavor. Make sure you are reading reviews for your flavor. There are lots of positive reviews of mint, vanilla, etc that skew the data. Almost all the reviews of the hazelnut extract are negative. I failed to check this before ordering.** I don't know why I ignored all the bad reviews on this. I guess because this one didn't have the caramel coloring that OliveNation had. As the other reviews stated, this is nearly flavorless. First I tried to make a flavored creamer for my coffee. I started with 1 tablespoon of cream and added a teaspoon of extract, but no discernible hazelnut flavor. Then I added another teaspoon. Then another. Nothing. No hazelnut flavor. Worthless. Then I tried making a simple syrup. I made the syrup with a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water (1T to 1T). Then I added an equal amount of hazelnut extract (a full tablespoon). Nothing. Now about half my 2oz bottle is gone ($6 worth), and I still can't taste any hazelnut in my coffee. If you're wondering what product to buy, please don't buy this. Don't make the same mistake I did. Listen to the reviews.

Good, but not great.
I got this along with the stuff from OliveNation to do a comparison. They are NOT equal. While this extract has no problems imparting a distinct hazelnut flavor, it has about half the potency as the OliveNation stuff does. I prepared two equal amounts of simple syrup and added teaspoons of both to each until it approached the flavor intensity of Torani Hazelnut syrup. In 3 cups of syrup, I ended up putting 3 tablespoons (yes big T tablespoons) of this extract to get somewhat close to Torani flavor levels. That left me with just enough to make about another cup of flavored syrup that was still not as flavorful as Torani. Neither this or the OliveNation extract contain polyethylene glycol. In terms of performance, I am happy with the results. I use my syrup to flavor coffee and I put about a tablespoon of my flavored syrup in 10oz. of coffee with 6oz. of soymilk. The concoction is very pleasing (to me) as I get a well rounded flavor palette and not the teeth curling sweetness I get with the same amount of Torani. The bottle is brown glass, and the lid is hard black plastic.

A Special Extract
If you are a home baker you know that most regular grocery stores carry only the most common extracts (lemon, orange, peppermint, anise, etc.). I use hazelnuts in many recipes and while the nuts have some flavor, this extract really boosts the flavor. It is always in my pantry. Worth the price.

Hazelnut?
I keep trying this extract in my coffee, and it just does not taste like what I know to be hazelnut taste. It's a little sweet and a little weird. I don't really like it.

Will continue buying this product as long as it is in stock.
Used this to make coffee creamer for my mom who is diabetic. She loves hazelnut coffee creamer, but noticed anytime she used the sugar free creamer from the store her sugar would spike. Reading the ingredients we found it contains corn syrup. I make her creamer now using stevia to sweeten and this for hazelnut flavor. She loves it, she says it’s better than the store bought and doesn’t make her sugar spike. One bottle lasted a few months and my mom drinks lots of coffee.

A bit bitter
This is like the bottle of vanilla in your cupboard, not the hazelnut syrup at the convenience store coffee bar. It has a good hazelnut flavor, but it's somewhat bitter, so use sparingly--just a drop or two in a cup of coffee.

Disappointed
I don't think it has the best quality flavour. Very disappointed and will not buy again. Price was reasonable, but that should have told me it has poor quality.
