A very good, versatile, portable monitor.
I purchased this monitor (BOIFUN B08JCGJNQ8) back in mid-October and have had a solid six weeks to evaluate. My first impression was with the "unboxing". The packaging and presentation was on a pare with that one sees with Apple products. The protective display cover and the included cables were of apparent high quality, which further my expectations for the monitor itself.I first tested it with my 2014 MacBook Pro 15" Retina (MBP) (first photo) using the HDMI to mini-HDMI cable for the video signal and the USB-A to USB-C cable to supply power to the monitor (from the MBP). The image quality was quite good, even at the default 50% brightness level. Watching a couple of YouTube videos produce no noticeable lag or monitor artifacts. I also tested this setup using the USB-A to USB-C cable and the included wall charger to power the monitor, with no noticeable difference in performance.I then connected my MacBook Air M1 (MBA) to the monitor via the included USB-C to USB-C cable (second photo). This single cable setup is much more elegant and convenient (or "tidy"). Though the monitor's 16:9 aspect ratio doesn't match the 16:10 ratios of my MBP 15" or MBA 13", I found no problem viewing the resulting display image. As with the MBP 15", I tested the MBA 13" in both extended and mirror modes. In the former setting live video imaging could be dragged from the primary display, across the boundary to the external display without disruption or artifacts. A very nice transition. Finally, I test the monitor with my HP laptop running Windows 10, using the HDMI to mini-HDMI cable for video and the USB-A to USB-C cable via wall charger to power the monitor. This worked perfectly, as did using the USB-A to USB-C cable from one of the HP's USB ports. I was also successful in using the USB-C to USB-C cable to power the monitor. Unfortunately, using only the single USB-C to USB-C cable to provide both video and power did not work. Only a blank screen with the HP reporting that it didn't recognize the connected USB device. Unfortunate, for this would have been a really nice "single cord" setup.Since my early tests, I've used this monitor outside, in a shaded area next to a coffee shop. Though the outdoor sunlight was a significant factor in washing out the image, the monitor still produced a bright enough image to work with. A friend also used it to present some spreadsheet information and one of his YouTube videos to a group of friends in a restaurant with the adjacent windows introducing significant outside light. The result was still very acceptable, with everyone saying that the displayed images were quite good.In the end it would have been nice to taken advantage of the MacBook Air's 2560 x 1600 or the MacBook Pro's 2880 x 1800 native resolutions. But that would be possible only with a much more expensive portable monitor. As such, the BOIFUN monitor meets 98% of my needs. Overall, a very good, flexible monitor.

Excellent Value, Good Build Quality
For a frame of reference, I have used other portable monitors over the last few years including most recently a top selling, well reviewed, and currently more expensive monitor with comparable size and specs to this monitor. My review is really a comparison of my experiences using these monitors.Box came with some weird stain to the box, perhaps it was rain or some liquid stain during packaging or shipping. The monitor is well packaged and so it didn't affect anything inside the box. Inside the box, it comes with a plethora of accessories such as a magnetic cover, USB C cable, USB 2.0 cable, Mini HDMI cable, USB/Micro USB adapter, basically everything you need to connect it to whatever type of laptop/desktop you will be using. The case is magnetic and feels solidly built, much better quality and sturdier than on other portable monitors of comparable size. I had no issues with it slipping or falling down from accidental nudges of the monitor.Screen quality and picture quality was excellent. It is in line with portable monitors that are a lot more expensive and also sold on Amazon. The product listing graphic says it has HDR, and while it's sufficiently bright, that's either a typo or false advertising, because it's no way bright enough to be considered HDR. I'll chalk that up to bad ad writing that perhaps the writer doesn't know what HDR really means. It comes with built in speakers, but it's a 2 x 1W speakers so it's not going to knock your socks off. It was passable and sufficient for my use case, which is light video watching and doing presentations. The monitor is actually lighter than comparable portable monitors that I have used. That is a big plus as I'm usually lugging my portable monitor with my laptop on the go and the lower weight is a nice touch. All in all, this is a great deal of a portable monitor. It comes with all of the features and functionality of other portable monitors in this market segment, but at a significantly lower price than the monitors that I have used. For that, this is a great buy and I highly recommend it for people needing a portable monitor or to easily add a second monitor to their laptop especially during this current Work From Home environment where we are no longer at our desk in the office piloting dual monitor or large desktop monitor setups.
