Product Description PC-Pool Putty Epoxy is a hand moldable putty epoxy designed for quick emergency-type repairs. PC-Pool Putty Epoxy is formulated to adhere to wet, dry, and submerged, underwater surfaces that are clean. Cut, mix and apply. Review: great under water repair - Had a leak around one of our pool return jets. this epoxy stick was easy to use. Just cut off a section from the tube and kneed the two together until a consistent color. Placed the product around the underwater leak area and carefully molded into the area of the leak. Review: Easy to Use / Works Great / Highly Recommend - This product was an excellent choice to quickly resolve a leak in my in-ground swimming pool. My leak was on the exterior of one of the 1½" Schedule 40 PVC pipes penetrating the side wall for the pump return jet. In my case the fitting for the jet nozzle was a friction fit to the pipe interior, so I slid out the jet nozzle so the junction between the 1½" PVC pipe and the cement / Diamond Bright wall was exposed. A utility knife was used to dig out any loose cement / Diamond Bright around the pipe prior to starting, increasing the leak slightly at this point. A suitable length of the epoxy rod was cut off, then mixed by hand until a uniform color was attained. That mixed epoxy was forced into the gap between the 1½" PVC and the cement / Diamond Bright, until I was unable to push any more into the gap. The leak was identified prior to the repair using liquid food coloring and a children's oral liquid medicine syringe. This permitted placing very controlled small drops of coloring in the water near the suspected leak, then watching the water flow forcing it through the wall gap. Once the epoxy repaired the leak, the food coloring demonstrated the leak was fixed.

**Q: Why does it say "temporary crack repair" in "About Item"?**
A: I suppose they said that to imply that it's not permanent - on that note, mine didn't hold up at all, it crumbled off my pool wall shortly after applying.  I found a competitive product which was permanent, check out J-B Weld's 8277 WaterWeld Epoxy Putty Stick, I found that a vastly superior product.

**Q: I want a glue that will be safe for fish I want to be able to glue rocks on top of other rock so I can create a natural looking habitat in my aquarium**
A: Its safe for people so its safe for fish.

**Q: This product was supposed to be off-white but dried gray. What happened? Are you only supposed to use the outer ring (which is more white?)?**
A: "Off white" and "Gray" are in the eyes of the beholder, I guess.  But, you *must* use both halves or it will not harden.  They must be thoroughly mixed together for it to work at all.

**Q: Is this product food safe after use ? I need it to repair a broken ceramic pet bowl dish and want to sure it will be safe to eat off of.**
A: I purchased and used this product for repairs on a 46 foot fiberglass sloop sailing vessel. I do not see it mentioned anywhere on the product tube, but there is nothing regarding using this product on anything related to food (whether for humans or domestic animals.) Personally, I would not use it in such an application but would look for a food-repair kit for ceramics or try a new pet dish. Good luck.

had a crack in above ground skimmer neck. did not want to drain water to replace. used the putty as directed and it stopped the leak and last the season. Good product.
