Highly recommended Bluetooth keyboard!
I have been using the iClever Bluetooth Keyboard (model IC-BK05) for the past three weeks and I am completely satisfied with it. I was originally looking for a Bluetooth keyboard to take notes on my Android Pixel Phone (1st gen). I'm a big fan of the VIM editor and as anyone that uses VIM would know, you need a keyboard to be productive -- a virtual keyboard on the screen will just not cut it. I researched various keyboards prior to buying the iClever IC-BK05. My requirements were: - Quiet keyboard - Comfortable to type - Portability - Long battery life (preferably USB charged) Quiet keyboard -------------- I intend to use the keyboard for note-taking in a quiet auditorium. The presentations will all be done in American Sign Language which means it will be really quiet. Not all of the participants are deaf so a quiet keyboard is a MUST. The iClever IC-BK05 is extremely quiet. Even when typing at full speed it is barely audible (I have normal hearing). I believe this is due to the scissor-switch keys. I tried the Anker Bluetooth keyboard and it was too noisy. I also tried a keyboard from Target that cost about $60 and it was quiet but the keys were too small. It was almost impossible for me to type on it although my wife didn't have too much trouble. Still, $60 was too expensive so I ended up returning it after trying it out. Comfortable to type ------------------- The iClever IC-BK05 is basically the size of a laptop keyboard. This is important because usually, I find my self typing with the iClever in odd places. I might have to rest the keyboard on my lap sometimes and the size and spacing of the keys is of utmost importance to be able to type quickly and accurately. Another benefit of this keyboard is that it turns on and connects to the phone as soon as you open it. The connection is fast. Pop it open and you are ready to go--provided you already paired the keyboard previously and have Bluetooth turned on. Close it and it disconnects and turns off. That simple. Portability ----------- This keyboard fits in a trouser pocket. The iClever folds up pretty compact and the magnets are strong enough to keep it shut. That said, it comes with a travel bag which helps keep it closed as you throw it into a bag or briefcase. Long battery life ----------------- I have been using the iClever for three weeks and still haven't been able to drain the battery. I always use it with the backlights off since I don't really need it. No complaints regarding battery life. I also love that I can recharge the internal battery via micro USB. This is a big benefit for me because I usually travel with a battery pack. Recharging it via a battery pack is more convenient than hauling extra batteries. The Anker Bluetooth keyboard I tried took two AA batteries which it didn't come with. Tip for DroidVIM users ---------------------- Here's a little tip if you use the iClever keyboard with DroidVIM. Set the keyboard to Win mode so that the escape key works as expected. If you set the keyboard to Android mode then the escape key sends the keybindings to return you to the home screen which isn't what you would expect while using VIM.

super convenient, ideal for all my needs, and with excellent CS
took me a hot minute to write this review, giving me the space to use this keyboard fully and form an informed conclusion. newsflash: it's awesome. the trifold makes it convenient to carry and store away in my tiny class c micro warrior, where surface area is a precious commodity. plus it's pretty lightweight. Bluetooth connectivity as well as a wired option giving me wiggle room for a more permanent setup (tho truth be told, digging a wireless connection). i store the cord, cushioned bag and keyboard all in an old cigar box, with enough room for a separate bluetooth mouse to boot. cute and compelling with back-lit color options for those who burn that midnight oil, such as myself. with keyboard shortcuts, I use it constantly when switching from my phone to Dex mode on the galaxy s10+ which gives users a "desktop experience" as opposed to simple screen mirroring. Note: the first keyboard I received worked perfectly for around 6 months until the keys nearest the trifold started going wonk, unresponsive unless tilting the fold at close to a 90° angle. it was a bummer. contacted customer service and they shipped me a replacement within a week. they even included an adjustable phone stand which apparently comes with certain bundles. perfecto. CS was prompt, courteous and understanding. so far, the replacement keyboard is working like a charm. I have been more mindful to not just whip it open all willy nilly and to make sure the surface on which it sits is as close to flat and level as possible (even though I still use my lap often enough without issue) it also has little legs on the edges for stable support. really love so many aspects of this keyboard, wanna make sure it sticks around a long while yet. with Android, ios and windows connectivity, Bluetooth or wired USB, pretty much any user can plug and play this keyboard with success. would def recommend this as a secondary and even a primary keyboard. On top of being a space saving solution, I have found everyday use super convenient and reliable. user note: make sure and let it wake up fully (around 3seconds after opening or 3seconds after a preliminary nudge by tapping a key when opened) to ensure your key doesn't "stick" and what you thought was one letter being typed is actually 27 of the same letter repeated on your screen. it's clever but it's sleepy sometimes, and gets bored with you for naps when you're in a scroll dominant mood ;) it really is worth every penny

Great size for small hands that are on the go!
Pros: I have small (some might argue child-like) hands, and the keys on this board are perfect for me. The keys are not too small, nor are they to space closer together than most boards making finger crosses feel effortless for me. I guess this is a con for people with large or, perhaps, even normal-sized hands, but I think that is because this keyboard emphasizes its portable design (as it is quite light and compact both when it is folded and unfolded). The battery life is pretty decent if you remember to close the keyboard when one's finished using it, and the Bluetooth capabilities are very user-friendly. The keyboard, once paired with a device, seamless reconnects to the device regardless if the board was open or closed when reconnecting. All in all, I think this was a really good investment as I've been able to use it with multiple devices (laptops, tablets, and my phone), and it has remained in good working condition. Cons: The only reason I didn't give this product a full, five-star rating was due to the occasional glitch I have been experiencing. Every sometimes (usually just when I first start typing) , the keyboard will, on it's own, multiple one of the characters I type (e.g. I press the letter "m" when typing the word "mother," and the keyboard will output "mmmmmmother." This doesn't happen all the time, but it occurs enough (for me anyways) to find it a bit tedious when it does this. Luckily, I don't find this happens if I am typing consistently/constantly (like if one were to type in a stream-of-consciousness-like manner), but it glitches frequently enough (for me) when I take longer breaks from using the board (e.g. type a Google search, use only the mouse/mousepad for a couple of minutes, then type something else) that I find it a bit inconvenient if I'm doing work. Also, the keys near the four corners of the board can be a little loud as the board rest on the two hinges that allow it to fold up. When press, say the "Backspace" key at the top, right corner, the board tends to rap against the surface (if it is solid and level like a wooden table).

Exceptional! My opinion on Durrability, Key feel, size, and portability.
Exceptional keyboard for the price! The only thing that scares me are the areas that are plastic feel very fragile this is not a rugged keyboard if its treated with care i feel it can last a long time. Could it be stronger of course but for the amount your paying the materials are amazing. The keys feel great!! I’m writing their review with the keyboard and i was a bit wrrried about the feel of the keys that potentially because of its portability they would have to cut down on those area but that is not the case here the keys are amazing, I’m used to mechanical key boards and this definetely fulfills my desire for colicky was but at the same time it is not loud i would not have a problem using this at night. All in all i have only had the keyboard for a little bit so i cant speak tot the logevity of it but the warranty it comes with puts me at price in that respect. One of the main issues i was having while considering this keyboard is that it doesn’t lock when opened so that i would be able to use it on my lap, he keyboard does have some magnets that kind of help but not very much it is not specifically designed for Lao use i would say but! Because its a tru folding keyboard and doesn’t fold in the middle if you put it on your la the right way it does not tr to close one you. Is it the perfect keyboard for lap use? No but it still does a great job at it for i want it i wont be doing much writing on my lap but to know that i can if i want to is awesome. I spend most of my day studying and i opt to use an iPad and my phone for what i do so this keyboard is perfect for me!! I can think that for a wide range of people it would e perfect too. I purchased the full size version of this keyboard because although i want portability Ihaving a full size keyboard is important to me, i have a magic keyboard for my computer and when fully open this is the same size. When this keyboard is closed if you get the full size version it isn’t very small you can fit it in a pocket but not all pockets i would say women would have a hard time putting this in a pocket but with some men pants having big pockets it may do. I will not be carrying this in a pocket i have a bag that i carry my everyday things in and it is perfect for that because although its not great for pockets its still small in terms of a bag and does not take up a lot of space at all. Thank you guys for reading this all i absolutely love this keyboard and i spend a lot of time in the review secretion when I’m thinking about buying something so i hope this helps someone.

Freakishly handy. Auto-correct tip below.
Welp. I was ready to dislike this thing. I had another keyboard that I really liked except for a problem with the right - hand Shift key being in the wrong place. It worked for years...then I lost it. Then, right after I ordered this one, I saw there was an upgraded version of my old one. They fixed the Shift key, and added a switch to lock it in place while open. But I was too late to cancel the order.... Curses! Right? Well...not really. I expected this one to have a few issues. It doesn't. I mean, the letter "X" isn't backlit. But the auto-on feature works perfectly. The keys work perfectly. It seems quite solid. And YMMV, but it even works in my lap if I'm moderately careful not to dump it on the ground. Nice little gadget. The colors and backlighting strike me as mostly silly: after all, I touch-type and it generally sits right in front of my phone, which lights it up just fine. But they're fun. One more thing. I've been using it for days, and have never charged it. Guess the battery works as advertised too. Sweet. UPDATE: I've used it for a few more days. Still haven't charged it. It still works really well. I did notice that the "Caps" light never comes on even when caps lock is activated. And I'd prefer that the keyboard "remember" that I had the lights turned off rather than defaulting to "on" every time. But I'm mentioning these things only to be complete. It's still an awesome little keyboard. Pro tip: the keyboard has no configurable settings under Android. I found the auto-correct to be extremely irritating. Turns out it sort of "inherits" the auto-correct settings from whatever other keyboard was in use before it connected. So I installed another (software) keyboard, turned off auto-correct on that, and then re-connected. Does exactly what I wanted now. If you don't have auto-correct with this thing but want it, that's how to set it up in reverse too: just install a keyboard with auto-correct first. It's a bit cumbersome, but not too bad. I also play around with Google's handwriting recognition keyboard sometimes, so I switch fairly often. Keeps things fresh. But YMMV. {8'>

This is THE portable wireless/wired keyboard for any device.
I went though 3 competing portable keyboards before finally deciding to keep the iClever BK05. This is the the closest typing experience to my Macbook Pro that I could find in an ultra portable wireless keyboard. I recently built a headless server that sometimes operates as a home theater PC, attached to my home theater gaming projector. I wanted a wireless keyboard for that computer that gave me a similar experience to my Macbook, but could also operate wired via USB so that I could use it for the computer BIOS setup in the even that I decide to change my hardware, fan curves, overclocking, etc. Since I more typically use my computer headlessly with remote access from my Macbook, I knew that I wanted a small keyboard that I could stow away when not in use. This would be a perfect keyboard for an IT professional working on headless servers. The BK05 is the bare minimum in size, while still offering full size keys. The keys are nearly identical in size to my Macbook, the layout size is also almost identical. You can see the how close it is in my photo the perspective makes it looks slightly larger but it's not actually any bigger it's the same. The keystroke feeling is actually slightly better than the Macbook in my opinion. They're slightly heavier and have a more tactile, albeit still soft click. It's overall a very quiet keyboard, especially when compared to a mechanical keyboard, but it's still slightly louder than the Macbook keyboard, particularly the space key. Key actuation distance is slightly longer than the Macbook keys, but still very much a chiclet low profile key. I actually prefer this type of keyboard over a mechanical keyboard. Very nice for typing. There are a few distinct layout differences from my Macbook... namely the position of the control, command/win, fn, and alt keys, which takes some getting used to, but I'm accustomed to switching between macOS and Windows systems so it's not a problem for me. One of the features that I love most is the ability to pair with 3 devices and to be able to easily switch between them. I've setup the first device as my Macbook, the second, my Android phone, and the third my Windows PC. Pairing was fast and easy every time. The backlight is effective albeit slightly uneven. It serves its purpose just fine. The best color for visibility is the green and I also like the red for low-light typing. Charging is easy and relatively quick and I've yet to run it out of battery. I just store it away plugged into a USB cable to make sure it stays topped off. Stability is good even on a lap as long as your legs are supporting underneath the hinges and not just on the outer flaps. Feels real solid on a tabletop when the outer feet support pads are rotated out. It also feels really durable, but time will tell. I'll update if I have any issues, but there have been none so far

I wanted to love it and was excited but one big deal breaker I couldn't ignore.
So I had bought this to use with my S7+. Saw some reviews and stumbled across this iClever. It looked great. Seemed very functional. Nice and compact. So when I first unboxed it and it seemed like it could be promising. It comes in a velvet pouch to carry around. I was under the assumption that the whole aluminum color parts were aluminum. They were not. You can see in the pictures that I labeled. The back housing is aluminum but that's it. The keyboard side is obviously plastic but on the back, the hinge assembly was plastic. When closed they do rattle around a little bit but that wasn't a problem. When it opened, it did have a slight tactile snap as it opened into place. I was hoping the plastic hinge assembly was aluminum but I was willing to look past that. Connected no problem. I have HUGE hands and the size was basically the same as my Corsair K70 keyboard. So it was very spacious and comfortable to type on. So aside from the plastic hinge assembly, so far so good! The problem was the moment i started typing. When looking at the back side, there are 4 rubber pads to prevent the keyboard from sliding around when using. I point them out in the picture. The problem is that the two outside panels are not supported by any pads on the very ends. The ends of the keyboard are hovering slightly above whatever surface it's resting on. (In the picture, the counter top). When I type on any keys that are on that ends panels (ie Q,W,A,Z,1,2,Tab,Caps,Arrow keys,Enter,Backspace), the ends of the keyboard flexes and taps against the surface with every keystroke. You can see the gap on the ends vs when it's pushed down on when typing in the picture. I feel like a rubber stopper or pad along the bottom at the very end would've solved this. I guess I could've gone to Home Depot and buy some rubber or felt pad but for $50, I felt this flaw should've been addressed. I really wanted to like this because of the positive reviews and the portability. I like to travel as light as possible and this wouldve been perfect. It's only because of that tapping with every keystroke on both ends is what made me return it. It's my only complaint but a annoying deal breaker.

Excellent size, features, ergonomics, portability, connectivity, and customer service, & best value
I purchased the iClever BK05 folding keyboard in January 2019. I used it and a Bluetooth mouse initially to use my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in DEX mode (using it like a PC connected to a TV or monitor) and it worked great! However, I only used it a few times when traveling and opting not to bring a full-sized laptop. Fast forward to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place era, and I am stuck at home for two months on my work laptop with serious screen flicker and a major delay before my employer can replace my device. This has forced me to connect to HD TVs or our 2K monitor in the office (alternating with my wife). Because my computer must be connected to another screen to use productively and without seizures, it is often not in close enough proximity to use the built-in keyboard and touchpad. As a result, I have been heavily using this iClever BK05 (the slightly larger folding, backlit keyboard). It has been a lifesaver and is arguably more comfortable to type on than my original keyboard. It turns on and connects as soon as I open it; I have it set to blue backlighting and it's very nice, matches my car's instrument cluster. It is well-built, with a nice aluminum outer skin when folder shut, with sliding hinges. The battery life is excellent, especially if you turn off the backlighting (but I like it) and it charges quickly. In the past two weeks, I started to have issues connecting the micro USB charging port -- it has to be positioned gingerly in a certain orientation for the red LED to come on to indicate a charging state. Mind you, this is nearly 1.5 years after purchase. I wrote to customer service, and they immediately offered to ship me a replacement! For free! Amazing. I was only asking if there was a way to fix it or if they had any recommendations. Instead, they are completely taking care of me by sending this. Regardless of that wonderful experience, I would have still highly recommended this keyboard and purchased another one -- for the money, you get excellent portability, features, etc. and the keys and typing area are the same size as my MS Surface Pro 4 Type Cover keyboard. Also I can quickly switch back and forth between my phone connection and computer connection. You really can't go wrong. The only note is, as others have said, because it is a folding keyboard, while resting on your lap with your legs even partially open, the left or right side will want to fold up. I have a small piece of cardboard (coincidentally from Amazon) that I cut to exact size to support it for lap use. Other than that, which is a natural feature of the design (a locking mechanisms would add heft, bulk, and complexity), it is an excellent product and I wouldn't want another one. I did a ton of research (always do) back in early 2019 when looking for a portable keyboard, and this one offered the best combination of features, size, portability, and price, and I stand by my initial purchase decision 1.5 years later. Furthermore, it looks slick and modern, looks more expensive than a $40 keyboard. Highly recommended. Summary Pros: Not as small as the smallest portable keyboards, but has full-sized laptop keys and most functionality (and at 6'2" with larger than average hands, a smaller keyboard would be difficult and uncomfortable for me) Customizable backlighting Solid ergonomics and feel Solid design and appearance Supports multiple devices with easy switching Charges in just a couple of hours Charge lasts a LONG time, especially with backlighting off Still very lightweight and portable with a full feature set Includes microfiber textured carrying pouch for travel Some of the best customer service I've ever experienced Conveniently stamped on the bottom of the handsome aluminum case are quick reminder instructions for connecting, backlighting, etc. Cons Nature of design is outside "leaves" want to fold up unless you keep your legs together when using on lap, or unless you support it with a stiff piece of cardboard or similar backing rectangle One data point is not enough to judge, but for me, the durability of the micro USB charging port may be problematic, and if it fails completely, you're dead in the water once you can no longer charge it (though it seems that you will be taken care of if you have this issue) Wish it had USB-C more modern and durable charging port No printscreen, pageup, pagedown, home, or end keys -- I thought I would miss them at first, but you can use a clipping tool and CTRL-<arrow keys> to get by without much issue. If I really need the printscreen key, I just lean forward and use my laptop's original keyboard. Verdict Excellent buy, excellent value

Intelligentes Design

An Ideal Mobile Companion
So far, I am very happy with the keyboard - the build quality is solid, it connects and functions over Bluetooth very well with my Huawei Android device - once paired, it creates a connection as soon as I open the keyboard up so there is no faffing about trying to get it connected. It also works perfectly well over USB to my MacBook (when working from home, my MacBook lid is shut as I use an external mouse/keyboard, and external monitors - the iClever keyboard is particularly handy during conference calls as it is near silent compared to my rather 'clacky' Logitech keyboard!). There is no mobile stand with this keyboard, so I recommend buying a cheap, folding stand as a companion (I bought these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0794SV8L7/ and they do the job at a sensible price). The keyboard comes supplied with a soft, faux velvet storage pouch (it's rather well made too) and there is plenty of room in the pouch to store a folding stand along with the keyboard - sorted! Other reviewers complained that the backlight is, by default, off when opening the keyboard, making life difficult when trying to use it in a darkened environment. This is now changed - every time I open my keyboard, the backlight is on by default. Personally, I'd prefer it to remember the previous state, so that the keyboard will start with the backlight in whatever state it was when the keyboard was last used (I almost always have to turn the backlight off, so it's a (minor) inconvenience). The key action is comfortable and very quiet (the LED backlight is really cool, though I wish it didn't hit the battery life quite so hard...). I'm using the keyboard as I type this review... One minor criticism; under Android, the "Esc" key currently acts like a "Home" button (indeed, it has a 'Home' icon on it!), taking me back to the phone's home screen. Personally, I think this function is not ideal. In my opinion, the "Esc" key (under Android) should perform the function of the "Back" button - this is a significant distinction. Some apps require the "Esc" key function. For example, many terminal emulator applications (e.g. JuiceSSH) make use of the "Esc" key on a hardware keyboard, but on the iClever keyboard, this exits the app and goes back to the Home screen - not useful... I have, however, discovered that I can work around this issue by using the "Win+Backspace" combination to simulate the correct "Esc" key function... One other point, when the back light is turned on, the is an extremely subtle 'buzzing' noise coming from the backlight LEDs. So far, it's not been loud enough to be annoying (you really need to be in a very quiet environment to notice it at all), but it is there, nonetheless. Clearly not a big enough issue for me to award less than five stars, though! All in all, I'm very happy with the keyboard. I travel a lot on business, so I'm constantly in and out of airports. Using the keyboard makes life far easier for keeping in touch with the office - quicker and more convenient than getting out the laptop, and then having to tether it in order to send emails, etc. Having used the keyboard for a few months now, I can happily recommend it.

Amazing keyboard. Seamless switching between devices
This keyboard really connects fast. I can switch multiple devices without a flick of the finger. Moreover the keys are easy to use and not obstructed unlike other foldable wireless keyboards. Comes with a nice pouch and stand with good quality. No wonder it’s expensive. Worth it to save grief moving around to multiple keyboards. Absolutely loved it
