Delicious!
These seasoning packets help make a quick and tasty meal, even if you don't have an InstantPot.I've got two small kids, so I end up making a LOT of noodles. But they'll only eat buttered noodles, so I make extra plain noodles and turn them into something a bit more grown up. We always have cooked chicken on-hand, too. So, leftover chicken and noodles, some milk and cornstarch, grated cheddar, a half a packet of this stuff, whatever veggies I have around to saute and add in, top it off with some bacon bits, and voila! Really delicious.I rarely have cream cheese or bacon around. And I do not have an InstantPot at all. But that doesn't stop me from improvising. My version tastes a bit like alfredo, to be honest. The ranch flavor is there but it's not super strong. I learned in one of my early attempts that adding more of the seasoning packet doesn't add more flavor but it definitely adds a noticeable amount of extra salt.If I had to say an area for improvement with this product, it would be that it could be a bit more "ranch-y." Sounds weird because ranch is in the name, and all. But it's really very subtle. As someone who loves things that are ranch flavored, I'd be OK with a bit more ranch in my ranch dishes.Even still, this is makes a delicious meal. My kids won't touch it for...reasons. (Chief among them: it's not buttered noodles and it has veggies in it 🤣) But my husband and I have really been enjoying this. A half a packet makes enough sauce for two generous servings.

Ranch Chicken - Good Ingredients, Easy to Use
McCormick Instant Pot Ranch Chicken Seasoning Mix, 1.25 Ounce (Pack of 12)Ingredients:Buttermilk, Sea Salt, Onion Powder, Lactose, Garlic Powder, Parmesan Cheese (Part Skim Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Spices (Including Parsley, Celery Seed), Citric Acid, Mushroom & Salt.I love so much about this product. I cook in my Instant Pot almost every night for my family. These McCormick Instant Pot seasoning mixes help elevate meals with one simple packet. My son loves Ranch flavor. To him, Ranch is a food category so the Ranch Chicken seasoning mix was my first pick from the flavors but I’m so looking forward to trying the Mississippi Roast mix too. I really like that the ingredients are free from things like MSG and other ingredients that I don’t care for in our food. The Chicken, Broccoli, & Rice plus the Mississippi Roast mix and the Ranch Chicken mix are all also free from sugar. (The Mississippi Roast does contain dextrose). You can throw a seasoning pack in with chicken and get some tasty and seasoned chicken or you can also flavor rice or risotto with it as well.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

You’ll really have to like Ranch to like this…
I was initially very excited to use this seasoning mix. Love cooking with my instant pot and a seasoning that can be done to cut down time spent in the kitchen? Score, right? Not so much in this case.If you follow the instructions on the back of the package, it’s more meant for shredded chicken. I find that yields a drier chicken - like, you’re hiding the dryness of it by shredding it. You also have to mix in cream cheese and shredded cheddar, and the result was like a lemony creamy cheese sauce. My husband says that’s essentially what Ranch translate to, but I disagree. Ranch isn’t all that tart, but then I honestly wouldn’t know how to describe ‘ranch’…?We served this over pasta, and I honestly had to thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry for it to work. The seasoning is a Ranchy chicken broth powder. Perhaps you can do better by using it in your own recipes, and it’ll be a win. However just from following the instructions on the package? That’s not quite a good meal in my opinion.

Works just as well in slow cookers
This review is for the McCormick Instant Pot Ranch Chicken Seasoning Mix. It’s hard to go wrong with McCormick seasoning mixes. It is a well-known company that has been delivering quality seasoning products for decades. We love their seasoning mixes, and use them frequently. This particular one gives you the yummy taste of buttermilk ranch, and works very well with chicken. The seasoning itself will pack lots of flavor, but the suggested recipe does call for several other ingredients to be added to achieve the full effect. My suggestion is to try it as recommended, and then adjust accordingly to your personal taste preferences. And don’t limit yourself to just chicken. The fairly simple ingredients in this mix would work well with vegetables as well as pastas for a different ranch twist. It is one that you can experiment with a bit, which isn’t always the case with these types of mixes. The other great thing about this mix is that even though they are marketed for “Instant Pot” cooking, they work just as well in slow cookers, so you can use which ever appliance you choose. Plus they provide any preparation instruction differences, depending on which method you choose to use. Great choice for seasoning.

Extremely Versatile for Cooking
This is one of those seasoning packets that you can use in so many ways. The chicken ranch is really such a great seasoning. I like to use it with chicken for tacos, but I also like to put it with breakfast potatoes too because it's basically a ranch seasoning with chicken broth in it. Anything you like flavored with ranch you can use. The packages can basically be used with anything. My favorite dish so far has to be the chicken taco's though, but the pasta salad that I made using it was really good. It can even be used for chicken pasta or macaroni and cheese. The price is $25 at the time of review and it's well worth it considering how many you get and that the expiration date isn't for over a year. You've got plenty of time to use these before the expire and for cheaper than the grocery store.
