Review: Simple enough for regular use, lots of extra applications for it. - Concepts like using it for sleep tracking is interesting but the issue found is that the battery life is not long enough to manage a full day of usage without needing to charge it at night time. It is very comfortable to wear and have not had any complications with it after 5 months so I say it is a very good watch for the intentions of it. As someone who does not find watches appealing that is a big compliment. Review: stylin and functional - I returned the previous version of the fossil watch because every time I bent my wrist I would hit the button and turn on the Google assistant. This time they put bumpers on either side of the button, so that is a thing of the past. I have worn this watch everyday and am loving it. The only complaint is that the battery only lasts a day. I wish I could get like three or four days out of it. But, i'm sure as tech improves, this will too. Worth it.

Substantial-feeling watch that does what I need it to
I've had this watch (Gen 5e with leather band) for two weeks now, and after playing around with it and doing one factory reset, I'm pleased with the battery life and functions. The watch body is very substantial, with a polished nickel finish and ridges around the watch face. There is one button on the right, and the watch body comes out on either side to protect it from being bumped. The back is a textured plastic that feels very solid. It is not a lightweight watch, to be sure. But I've gotten used to the heft, even after not wearing a watch since I was a teenager. The band is genuine leather on the outside with a silicone back. I'm hoping it forms to my wrist more with a little wear, but it's comfortable, and it has never snagged on any hairs. The first few days, I was playing with features more, and added some apps. I wasn't familiar with the watch face customizations, so I put some non-stock watch-face apps on it. I put Messages, Outlook, and the Roku remote apps on it. And I enabled developer options (which seems to have had a negative impact on battery life). My goal for a smart watch was really just the notifications so I don't miss meetings, emails, texts, etc, if I'm away from my phone. After a little more than a week, and having battery life issues, I did a factory reset and paired it again with my phone, knowing what I wanted to use this time. I did not opt for any of the fitness tracking features (heart rate sensor, basically). I think it still runs, but no apps are using it. I uninstalled everything on the stock setup that was allowed (Facer and Spotify and a few others). I never enabled the permissions for sensors, so no apps should be using those. The only thing I added was Messages so I could respond to texts without getting my phone out. Since doing this a couple days ago, my battery life is way up. At the moment, I'm 9 hours since unplugging it, and it is at 70% battery with the default power settings ("Daily Battery Mode"). I haven't answered calls or used the speech-to-text, but unless you are doing that a lot, the battery is plenty for all day. Before doing the reset (with developer mode enabled, which I think was the culprit), it was down to about 30% after 8-9 hours. In summary, for my use case (notifications, calendar, time) it works great. I got it on sale, so it was even more worthwhile. It looks nice, and the interface is fairly responsive. Text on the screen is sharp and readable. I wish it were a bit lighter, but overall very pleased.

Great Fossil Smart Watch - Very chic and great functionality!
Wonderful smart watch! Previously had a Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch which I rarely used, in addition it gave up on me not too long ago. Glad I got this one! It has practically the same functionality as my previous one. Only difference is you need to be close to your phone for making calls via the watch. But that's generally the case for me anyway. And hey, you'll be saving the monthly line fee assessed by your carrier. Beautiful Fossil Smart Watch, with an enormous amount of faces to choose from. I'm really in love with it!

A watch with common functions
It has great compatibility, and it works as intented. The concerns i have is about its battery life which is basically none, it can't even last a day without you putting in to charge, which is obnoxious sometimes, sleep tracking is amazing, but is a pain in the back to sync that up with your phone. Construction quality is very good. 10/31/22: I realized that the battery life will depend on how many sensors you have active and which watchfaces you have. For some reason some watchfaces are battery-intense, despite looking for the same digilog watchfaces. I've managed to use this smartwatch up to 2 days w/out charging. I love having this watch despite its battery issue. Notifications and apps have been very responsive after some updates. And by the time i bought it, it was reasonably affordable.

Great value
Everything about the watch is great. These are the few things you may want to look into. Battery life *it's not the best but honestly, I have managed to get a day and a half out of it sometimes other times just a day or even less than a day. It charges super fast. As I type this I have 2% battery left on the watch and it's 9:31 pm. I started the day with 100% and had all features exempt wifi turned on. Okay Google *The "Ok Google" has never worked on mine. Other than those two things it's great

There's potential
I really wanted to like this watch, and I was excited to receive it. The battery life is horrendous, like really bad. "Ok Google" or "Hi Google" does not work. This seems to be a recurring issue with Wear OS and this watch as well. The only way Google assistant works is if you press the button, which defeats the purpose of having this watch for me personally. I think both of these issues have directly to do with Wear OS. This is unfortunate as there seems to be real promise here. It looks nice and the fact that it can integrate with your google account is really nice, which is why I wanted to try this over my samsung active 2 watch as there is no google assistant on there. One day, when all the bugs are worked out, this will be a really nice watch. Its just not there yet.

Battery runs out like nobody's business but pretty decent watch. It's also my first smart watch so can't compare it to anything yet

I have many Fossil watches, but this one was a mistake. It was difficult to set up, kept losing connectivity, losing its charge until it finally just completely died in under two years. Looked good though.

Beautiful watch and decent battery life. Bought it as a gift and the person loved it at first sight. It paired quickly with the phone. The only thing is that the microphone and speaker are not that loud but it does the job if the phone is not near.

Yes the battery is bit of an issue, it doesn't last a full day with the battery preference set on daily instead of extended but otherwise the build quality of this thing is absolutely superb , the display is crystal clear sharp , charging is very quick , and it has not given me a single lag . Charge the watch every night as you would charge your phone it takes just 60 mins to a full charge and you are good to go . I recommend this watch . At this price point it's the best wear os watch out there .
