I am a hobby baker and have experience with both liquid and gel food colors. It simportant to me to be able to achieve colors in my icings that don't affect the consistency or flavor. This coloring does get in the ballpark of the advertised color, which is great. It is vibrant, and while it does develop a bit after mixing, it doesn't substantially change into something else (which can happen with some colorants!) It is high quality and has a thick consistency that doesn't make your goods watery. I was happy that it doesn't affect taste. My sweets are vibrant and beautiful. Be careful though - you may want to wear an apron or even gloves while using; getting the coloring on my hands stained my skin and nails for a day or two, but that was kind of a freak accident. So it can stain - be especially vigilant of delicate surfaces, like if you have fancy countertops - my formica ones don't care, but if you have an upscale countertop, you probably don't want to get this directly on it. This food coloring is a good value for the price. Though the bottle is small, a few drops of this can effectively color an entire batch of buttercream so don't fret about value of the bottle size - it will last a while unless you are a commercial baker.

I made pink cold foam and pink cinnamon rolls with pink frosting (I love pink lol and it was Valentine's Day) and this food dye was PERFECT. I was able to knead it into the cinnamon roll dough without issue, and incorporate it in frosting and cold foam very easily so it's super versatile. It had no weird smell or flavor. The color was also VERY vibrant. I still have a ton leftover too!

One of my favorite brown colors in my Royal icing gel colors! Chefmaster produces high quality RI and is my go to brand. This brown is a nice medium brown color.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the “picture perfect” red velvet cake I made at Christmas! It was beautiful and absolutely delicious (recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction)! Oh, my goodness, EVERYONE was impressed with the outcome. I was thrilled the cake had none of that chemical taste that most red food colorings leave in your homemade baking products which ultimately spoils all the hard work you put in to make the perfect dessert or cookie. This got the job done with no after taste, and the resulting cake was a beautiful deep red worthy of a high end bakery (even if I do say so myself)! Chefmaster has produced the most perfect red food color in a convenient, no drip, no waste, flavorless gel form. I’m happy and will return for other food dye products whenever I need them for future baking. I highly recommend this product…especially for red velvet cake and cookie baking! It’s very hard to find a dark that can actually be as dark as desired. And this was from completely white whipped cream. Needed to use the whole thing for a 12 inch and half of a 6 inch cake but it didn’t change the flavor. Would definitely buy this brand again.

This purple food coloring has great pigment — it’s vibrant, rich, and mixes smoothly without clumping or streaking. A tiny drop is all you need for frostings, batters, or DIY treats. It blends well in both buttercream and royal icing. The only reason it’s not five stars is that the color can darken slightly after sitting overnight, so it’s best to mix a little at a time and test the shade first. Still, it’s one of the best purples I’ve used — bright without turning gray or dull. TL;DR: Strong pigment, smooth texture, and long-lasting — just use sparingly for perfect purple tones.

The food colour is for tainting eggs, an Eastern Orthodox tradition for celebrating Easter. Everything was fine, as expected, prompt delievery, excellent price. Thank you Amazon!

Bought three colors. This is great for coloring icing and cakes. The gel was so much nicer than liquid, and the color is actually the color you want.
