Rear Trunk Lid Spoiler Wing

I'll admit that I didn't purchase this spoiler to install on a '96-'00 Civic. I actually bought this with the specific intention of modifying it to fit by 1992 Honda Beat that I imported, since parts are readily available, but require shipment from Japan. That being said, I had to cut 2 sections out of either side in order to use it with the included 3rd brake light, and upon doing so, I was able to see the structure inside. One of the problems that a lot of these aftermarket spoiler manufacturers have is the obvious intention to reduce costs by reducing the material used in construction, leading to thin walls and flimsy manufacturing. This spoiler does *not* suffer from this. It's very sturdy as is, and works great to modify, or to use as is in its intended application. I tried the same thing from a different manufacturer and had no luck, as the wall construction was just too thin, but for this one, I was able to modify it, fiberglass it, paint it, paint it and mount is with zero issues. Obvious I didn't use this product as it was intended, but I think my insight regarding the way it was manufactured may help potential buyers to choose this particular one over an option from a competitor.

Everything is easy, to a degree. My biggest complaint is the fact that they put the wiring in the opposite side of the factory wiring. There is already a factory hole and grommet for the wiring to go through on the left side, yet they put their wiring on the right. Which means I will have to drill a hole in the trunk to run the wire, or drill the spoiler and try to refeed the wiring. If you don't want the the third brake light, this is a great replacement.
