AQUARIO Neo Soil - Aquarium Soil for Freshwater Planted Tank, Volcanic Ash Substrate for Fish Tank w/Live Aquatic Plants, Slighty Acidic, PH Buffering Aquasoil for Planted Aquariums - Plants, 8L

I've started using a 1.5 lb bundle of this aquasoil into the bottom of my planted outdoor pond with a number of unusual plants, but also began to use small portions of it to supplement my struggling plants in indoor tanks and the result from two ounces of this applied over the rooting areas was MAGNIFICENT. Since then, I have kept an amount of this aquasoil on hand for either helping to settle new plants into my established tanks with two or three ounces of it applied right over the root base before tucking it lower with forceps or a long wooden applicator in deep tanks or simply setting up all new tanks from that point with a layer of an inch of this soil under a gravel or sand. This aquasoil I've used to establish a new 40 gallon and will vouch for using to set up any tanks from nano to large sized.

Soil is the light brown circles, I put a layer of black sand over soil.
