Sturdy construction, grip friendly, readings within 3 seconds, easy to calibrate, can read down to 1 mil reliably. It is being used for quality control in a paint shop for wheel repairs, and it is great for non-ferrous materials, especially aluminum and magnesium. Nicely made hard case comes with it. Display is quite large and easy to read at a variety of angles. It is not as easy to just put it up to the surface and wallah, you get the right result. There are times when it doesn't even come one, so I am join to have to READ the starting guide. However, I had my body shop redo a quarter panel fix, as I could easily see that they put too much bondo on and didm;t pull the metal enough.
