The lid screws onto the base, and the container is metal which makes it fantastic for carrying around in the pockets, of whatever I’m wearing, safely- including back pockets. Gingersnap is a fantastic warm “nude” for me without being too washed out. It just enhances and gives a bit of finish to my lips while being wonderfully hydrating. (for reference I am a very fair redhead that looks good in green and many ‘Autumn’ colors.) I also have this formula in a couple different colors and really like them all. While I found this particular lip balm under five, it is currently priced at around 6 to 7, I would easily pay $10 a tube for this. It slides all over your lips. You have to blot the excess with a tissue else it winds up all around your mouth. A little too smooth and creamy I guess.
