Seems too "jiggly" inside... ha. I'm sure it's secure but listen up FJM, put dampening foam in there or something so it doesn't sound like paperclips jiggling around inside a can. As for the lock itself, it's fine for the use. I have a combo Master Lock that cost me 3x as much and I like that better... and so, you do get what you paid for. It's not CHEAP, but just feels that way. OH, I have to add that leaving a message via their website regarding one of my 3 locks not working... was useless and I got no response after 2 days so far. So, I returned 1 of the 3.

Very strong, solid lock. Very easy to set code. BUT beware that it is slightly larger diameter than standard...I had to file out the hole in my gate latch about 1-2mm. Only took a minute with a round bastard file, but if U don't have a round file or right size drill bit U won't be able to use this particular lock. [probably why I was able to buy one of the many returned ones from Amazon Warehouse!]

Got 2 of these, one broke while i was attempting to change the code, it got stock in the locked position and would not open with the manufacture code or the mew one i set up. so i didnt even bother and threw it away.The second one still workd but feels very cheap.Will c if it hold up to extreme weather condition since its "stainless steel"

I bought this for a standard sized latch for a fence gate. I measured the shackle at 3/8" with a normal tape measure. I like this lock, but I did have to drill out the holes on the gate latch for it to pass through at all. I'd guess I had to drill out both sides of the latch about an extra 1/8" or more for the curved shackle to pass through both sides easily. This is a thicker shackle than a standard "locker type" lock, which I like for security purposes. I've unlocked it in cold weather with no problem. I've only had it for a few weeks but am happy so far.

This was the fastest I've ever decided to return something. I opened the package to be sure the lock worked before I needed it. Set the code to 0000, got it to open after a couple seconds once I figured out how it worked. Went to slide it back shut, and the cheap plastic slider was really hard to push. Pushed harder and got jabbed in the thumb by a piece of sharp metal that was right by the slider. Drew blood! Dangerous dangerous lock--printed the return paperwork within 5' of opening this awful product.

I like the combination style of lock. It does not seem as solid as the Brinks key "disc" lock. Without destroying it with a sledge hammer and a pair of bolt cutters I can't say for sure if it is or not. The combination feature is handy if you don't want to carry around more keys or are prone to putting the keys down somewhere and spending an hour looking for them. Of course a 12" Crescent wrench or a tire iron will often destroy either the hasp or the lock itself on the average shed or tool chest.

I have bought two of these locks now for my shed and an outdoor closet. One is three months old, and the other is about a month. So far they have shown no sign of wear from the weather.Setting the combination was easy and fast. I prefer this to a key, or set combination, because I keep my bike behind it and prefer not to carry keys. Having the ability to set the combo the same on several locks means that my wife and I don't have to keep it written down or try to memorize multiple convoluted processes.Great lock so far, I look forward to seeing how it fares in winter weather.

1-star because this kick does not come with “instructions” and it is not intuitive.For whatever reason, after following the manufacturer instructions given under “questions,” the lock does not work.
