Great jacket for everyday use at a great price!
Let me start off by saying I bought one of these jacket about 4 years ago at belk but in black. I pretty much wear it all the time and it still looks great! I decided to buy the same jacket but in grey since I love my other one so much but couldn't find it anywhere except here on amazon. I'm so glad I found it and ordered it. This jacket is exactly like the other one I have. Both are soft shell, Both repel water, and both keep you nice and warm. The quality of the jacket is great! I haven't had any loose threads, holes, or stitches coming off and I've had this second one for almost a year now. I'm 5" 11' about 200 pounds I usually wear a large but I went with a medium and it fits me just right. If you want the jacket to be a bit more loose I would go a size up. My only comment would be that I wish it had a pocket on the inside but that's it. Overall great jacket, great price, would 100% recommend and buy again.

Perfect Mediumweight Shell
I wanted a good, durable weather resistant shell that I could wear as my own modular system. Teamed up with a fleece vest, this shell fits and is warm, perfect for temps down in the 30's and 40's, and water resistant. Remove the vest and this jacket is perfect for temps in the 50's and 60's.I fold this up and throw it in my backpack or briefcase, pull it out, and it looks great. I chose basic black and it's easy to keep clean. The light liner is soft and comfortable. I ordered it a little large and with the generous cut I can layer underneath it... A fleece vest, a crewneck sweatshirt... All fit well underneath. This is a great jacket for a frequent traveler as a part of their road kit.

I love this jacket, wear it everywhere!
This Columbia Ascender jacket is a solid choice for mild weather adventures. It's got a good balance of warmth and breathability, and the softshell material is both wind-resistant and stretchy enough for easy movement. The fit is comfortable and not too bulky, and the pockets are well-placed and deep enough for essentials. It's not the lightest jacket out there, but it's a good all-arounder that can handle a range of conditions.

Stylish and effective
If you’re looking for an outer-layer jacket for cold weather multilayering, this is what you’re looking for.Bought this for my trip up to South Dakota in the winter, where as of December 2020 the temperatures are averaging 10-20 degrees. As a Louisiana native, I don’t think I’d fare very well without this thing. Wearing anywhere between 3-4 layers to keep warm.In terms of the fit, it does pretty well. I’m 5’7 at 160lbs and it does fit a little big if you wear this with just a single shirt underneath, but for multilayering this is perfect. Fits nicely above all my other layers without any constricted movement. I have shorter arms so it does come a bit over my palm, but that issue goes away with just using the velcro or having layers underneath.Works perfectly as a raincoat, but in Louisiana it does get pretty muggy and humid when it rains so I do get a little hot. This is definitely made for a colder setting, so really consider something a bit thinner if you’re looking just at the water resistance of this. The feel and look is great. I love the inside, it’s both cozy and roomy at the same time. Doesn’t choke your arms or anything with excessive inside lining. The left collar does tend to pop up every now and then when unzipped but you’ll probably want this thing zipped up anyway.Overall, this is one of the most stylish and effective coats you can’t get for the price. If you’re not in a native cold climate and you’re taking a trip to somewhere that is, definitely grab this.

Nice Jacket
First off, I'm 6'5" (1.96 m), 200 lbs (91 kg) and have an athletic build. I ordered size Large Tall. The Fit: The fit is reasonably good. The shoulders fit very well, the chest has enough room. The body length is good and this is the first jacket I've had in a long time where the sleeves are sufficiently long. The sleeves also are large enough to be comfortable moving around. The mid-section doesn't fit as well. Like many tall sized clothes, the assumption seems to be that if you're tall you must also be big. It would be nice if it came in an inch or two from the chest to just above the waist. This isn't as bad when wearing a sweatshirt or sweater, but when just wearing a t-shirt or dress shirt it is almost too big. I decided to keep it anyway because it's hard to find a tall jacket that is tall enough, and even though the mid-section is big, it doesn't look worse for it.Features: This is what you would expect from a softshell jacket. It is warm enough to work for temps just below freezing, maybe lower if you layer. It is not as wind resistant as I expected, but isn't bad. I haven't tried it in the rain yet. The pockets are large and insulated, so they will keep your hands warm.Overall it's a solid jacket. It is more comfortable than the LL Bean jacket it replaced, and $40 cheaper.

Comfortable and good price
Like the color and pockets. Lining is warm but makes sleeves a bit awkward to put on as it clings to some fabrics. Like the adjustable sleeve at wrist and the chest pocket. Would have been nice to have an inside pocket. Like that it can be washed and sheds water. Great spring and fall jacket. Could be year round depending on where you live.

This is the second time I have bout this coat. The last one someone took. It is super soft and is light weight. It looks very professional and keeps you warm.
