I actually gained a lot while struggling with postpartum depression. All this to say to say that I'm fat, but trying to start becoming less fat. Diet has helped me lose a ton already, but for the first time in my life my belly is bigger than my thighs. I realized a lot of it is posture and my abs having been "unzipped" while pregnant. Core exercises are really difficult at the moment because of my size and back pain from not having ab strength, it's a vicious cycle. I decided to try waist training to get a jump-start on getting my belly troubles fixed. Holy moly am I glad I did.By the size chart I should have ordered a 7X or 8X. After reading tons of reviews and answered questions I went with a 5X. It is very tight. I've got back fat muffin top lol. But I'm not using this to look good in my clothes. I'm sculpting my body. I took about a week to get used to wearing it and working my way up to longer periods of time.I currently wear it for about 4 hours at a time, one to two sessions a day. In a week of doing this I've already shrunk an inch when not wearing it! I'm also finding my posture is improving habitually and my low back pain is getting better. Even though it's super tight, it's really comfy. I usually wear it while doing my housework, gardening, or crafts. I can move, bend, sit - it's supportive without being restricting.From a quality standpoint I'm really happy. The stitching is even and clean. The fabric is thick and sturdy. The hooks are thick and strongly anchored. I expect to need a smaller size long before it will show significant signs of wear.If you're on the fence, definitely go for it! And if you're wanting to make real changes to your shape I suggest going down a couple of sizes. With the extender you'll get lots of effective wear-time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Sizing review please read. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2021* I write in depth reviews.I’m a skinny thing but because of IBS problems my tummy gets severely puffed out. I also have rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. My spine has I’ve a 33 degree curve and I have several bulged, herniated and broken discs. I bought this not only for my stomach because exercise is not an option for me but to try to keep my spine from curving anymore than it should. Let’s get to the review. The things I rated less than five stars are. It a bad thing!!! Who expects comfort when your strapping you gut in as tight as you can get it and what about stretch? Do you really want a corset to stretch? I think not. I wear a size 8 in jeans but I ordered a size 2XL in this corset to because my stomach really does puff out. Without pulling a tape measure tight I’m exactly 40” around the largest part of my stomach. I was able to get the corset on with some difficulty and it was not very comfortable... BUT, it comes with 3 row extender so with adding that I can achieve a point of comfort as well as relief to my back. As far as length goes, I have always had a long torso. I thought I would be ordering the longest one they had. When I measured myself it was only 9.5” from in under my breast to the top of my hip. Having both hips replaced, one done twice within three months, I did not want the corset to dig into a hip. Because of my spine curvature one hip is higher than the other. Be sure to take this measurement before you buy it. One last factor is that I have a boyish figure, small hips, and the photo of this corset looked much smaller at the hips than other brands. The photo held true and it fits my small hips well. In closing it is very well made, I’m sure you will be happy with the fit of you order the right size. I can’t imagine wearing this on a hot summers day but thankfully I work from home in a cool basement. The other nice thing is that with the closures in the front vs lace up in the back is that I don’t think it will show in under any of my clothes. I’m also hoping it hides the tens unit that was implanted in my back. The unit really sticks out so I have always had to buy blousy tops. I was much smaller when I purchased it the first time I believe I purchased a medium and I ended up shrinking so small that the waist trainer didn't fit me anymore. This time around I ordered a 2X and I had to add the extender for it to fit me, but I am 100% positive that it will shrink my waist and I will be out of the extension and into the regular hooks within the next 3 months, especially if you wear it every day. First off, I ordered the latex one because it has the most support, the inside of it is lined with a almost fleece style material and it does cause you to sweat throughout the day but that is a good thing because you were burning calories. I actually bought it for work for my back because it gives so much support, I am a nurse and I have to lift patients and bend over quite a bit using my back and I recently had a slipped disc so this will definitely prevent any kind of back pain and it will promote good posture. Of course I'm sure you are reading this because you want to know about the quality of the brace for your waist, it definitely snatches that waste in so good you will have no rolls showing, it's very long in the Torso area so I like to push it down on my lower hip close to where my crack is at and it goes all the way up to underneath my breast which is perfect so that they're not roll popping out causing you to have a muffin top. If you're questioning buying it, girl just buy the thing he will not regret it. I suggest getting the latex one because it has the most support, it has metal boning in it to keep shape, and even over time wearing it every day it does not lose shape. I believe the last one I had lasted me about a year and it would last longer but my waist was so tiny I grew right out of it. It definitely runs on the smaller size, my waist is actually about a 3X but I ordered the 2x because I know I'm going to fit in a 2X very soon but I managed to lay down on the bed and squeeze into this one with the extender.
