My 12 year old really liked this book and felt most instructions were adequate. BUT, the patterns that came with this book had little to no explanation as to how to use them. The patterns were also overlapped and printed on both sides of the paper.

This is a great book for teaching kids how to sew clothing, and you can't beat the price. The page layout is clear and easy to follow. I will be using it in my classroom.

I purchased this book with the idea to possible to use to teach a children's sewing class. It's a wonderful book for a beginner. It teaches them about fabrics, needles, finishing, etc. I like that it has 17 different projects, so the same book can be used many times without having to continue to purchase different patterns. A great savings. Well worth the cost of the book. I'll be having it on my list of supplies for the class. And teaching multiple projects from this book.

I teach sewing to people from age 6 on up. This book has proven invaluable to my youngest of students. They are beyond proud to sew something for themselves that fits and can be done in a short amount of time.

I like this book, but wish it had more design choices. The instructions for making patterns are great, but not really beginner material. The projects tend to be repetitive, but I think the kids I work with will like some of them.

I bought this book for my 11 year old granddaughter who is quite an amazing seamstress for her age. She liked the book a lot but felt some of the instructions were a little difficult to comprehend.

I love this book. I'm trying to interest my 9-10 yr old grand-daughters into learning to sew. This has simple ideas and explains easily and concisely how to achieve very presentable garments. Looking forward to trying some of the patterns.
