A very nice tool!
I love the identifier! It is very easy to use, does the job it is expected to do, and is priced very well. Thanks!

DO NOT waste your money
DO NOT waste your money. Can not trust results from this unit. Used a brand new A/C machine to evacuate and recharge a vehicle that came into the shop that had no refrigerant left in it. Charged system from a brand new 30lbs cylinder. Wanted to try out the unit to see how it worked. Followed instructions for hook up. Unit said that the vehicle failed! How can virgin 134a fail? Now only get an error message from the unit. Thankful Amazon let me return!

Passed a known good system, failed and empty system
4 out of 5 stars. This is for a couple of reasons. It only analyzes to 95% as opposed to 98% of the more expensive multi refrigerant models. It uses the exact same technology, and since it is dedicated R134a, I would think it should do the 98%, but it is what it is. The second reason is the fault indicator. I just received this unit and had a job to try it on. Followed setup to a T, during the warmup phase, the fault light started flashing. In the manual, it gives you codes for 5 faults, as in it blinks one to five times. It doesn't define how frequent, or how long the pause is after a fault is being coded. My unit flashed continually, no pauses. Under the fault codes it says if it flashes 6 times to call technical support. For any of the other faults you are to disconnect from power source, squeeze bulb ten times and wait 30 minutes. Since it was a continuous flash, I assumed it was the '6'. Regardless, I disconnected power, pumped the bulb ten times and went on with other things. About an hour later I tried it again. Same thing, this time I call Tech support. Explained the issue and was told that was I could do over the phone and was told to return the unit. Since I purchased it from Amazon, I was OK, albeit disappointed in a 500.00 unit being faulty out of the box.I removed power once more, pumped it several times, more than 10, hooked the unit back up and started over. This time it got past the warm up phase and ready for calibration. I followed it all the way through to seeing a pass result on a system I had just did an evac and recharge with virgin R134a (Dupont, genuine). Tried it on another vehicle in the shop with same results, then tried it on the recovery tank with same results. Just for kicks, tried it on an empty system and received the fail plus excess air indicator so at least I know it won't pass an empty system....One reviewer says it is slow and gave it a single star. It's pretty much as fast as the more expensive unit, isn't as precise and won't tell actual percentages. But for the price difference, and considering I'm the only one in my area that even has an identifier, it will fit the bill. I'll bump it to a 5 star if it's trouble free for a year.

Slow
Long wait for the unit to warm up. Every step you have to press the (Next) key,Fragil pick up hose.
