It was dented when it atrived but the metal is thin so it I worked with it pariently and was able to get it reshaped to almost unnoticeable. The lid is hard to get on and off but maybe that will keep people from snooping. I thought the color would be galvanized gray - nope, this is definitely green more than anything.
