Great for anyone with a bad back
No more bending and blisters!!!I love this thing? No more hurting my back or getting blisters on my hands from trying to do a rake/shovel chopstick maneuver picking up leaves!I’m obsessed! It’s very sturdy, the handles extend to a nice long length. I’m a 5.8” female with thin wrists and a bad neck/back from a car accident. This thing is a life and time saver!!Try it you’ll love it!

These are a must have for leave pick up
It can get pretty clumsy having to hold two rakes. We have a large wooded yard and alternate between blowing leaves into the woods and picking up/ mulching and bagging. These are super easy to use and made picking up the leaves much easier. Grabbed a good bunch of leaves and easy to pick up from the ground. These are well made, the size is perfect for myself or my husband. The grips are good and make it easy to control the rake.

Where has this been all my life?
As a person who has been picking up leaves in front of my house for 35 years, I can honestly say - "Why couldn't I have discovered this sooner?" A recent decline in my shoulder mobility has made bending over and dead lifting a garden dust pan into the green bin - much more difficult. BUT - this device is a wonder. It has telescoping arms to accommodate tall and short folks, as well as very sturdy plastic grabber hands that takes a big gulp of leaves every time. My 1 and ONLY criticism is that it's a tiny bit heavy for an old lady like me - probably because it's well made! BUT - I LOVE it!

Great for people who can't bend over.
Getting old and have a hard time bending over to scoop up my leaves. This tool has an adjustable shaft so even I who is 6' 5" tall person can use this without bending over. Don't fret it is adjustable for normal height people also :).The width of the tool picking up leaves fits perfectly in the lawn and leaf bags and helps compact the leaves. My only complaint is I have to lay it next to a wall it does not stand upright with leaning against something.Great tool back does not hurt and no chance of falling now.

Great product
My daughter and her husband bought a house and I believe the people that lived there before them NEVER did yard work. I am older so the idea of all that bending was not something I was looking forward to so I decided to give these a try. So glad I did. Yard work went by so quickly. Easy to assemble, light weight and easy to use.

YARD CLEANUP MUST HAVE!
Best tool to have for landscaping if you want to save your back! I purchased this to help aide removing old mulch to freshen up our landscaping this spring. It had been about 10 years and we normally just add to it but when we decided to add more shrubs into it we decided to move some and start fresh. This really made a huge difference. I highly recommend this for your yard cleanups!

An innovative design that with some additional help could be perfect
First the good: This is a well thought out tool design. Even with its flaws, it makes picking up wet leaves MUCH easier. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I been using this tool almost every day since it was purchased. Now the bad: The execution of the design is not as good. As already reported by others, the locking mechanism on the adjustable handles doesn't lock well. It started working well, but after the ninth of tenth use, I was unable to get the handles to lock in place. I tried cleaning the inside handle, but no improvement. I'm considering drilling several holes through both handles and bolting a pin through a hole in each handle to secure it in place. After many uses, I've determined that adjustability is less important to me than ensuring the handles stay in place at that "ideal" length. A great fix would be to use spring-loaded pins that would pop through a number of holes in each handle. You could adjust the handle length my pressing the pin down and sliding the outer handle up or down through the appropriate hole. Once the pin pops through the hole, the handle will not slide until pressed down again.Again this is a good tool that could become a GREAT tool with just a bit more engineering.

Save your back and let this scoop up the leaves
Raking and leaf blowing aren't fun, but they're easy enough. The hard part is after you have a pile of leaves. If you're going to bag them, I recommend getting a "bag frame"... something that will hold a lawn leaf bag open and upright. Then you can use this Gator Grabber to pick up and drop the leaves into the bag. It really makes the job much easier.
