Worked like a charm. About 30 feet away from grandkids piano and violin recital. Picked up the sound and was very good. Great Grandmother was sent an SD card and enjoyed it immensely.

A little pricey but a game changer for me having the mic pick up option and the accessary ports .

Fit my GoPro 13 perfect, the best thing about it is I no longer have to remove the battery to charge it and to download any film might take. I just plug it up on the side with the USB-C to any device. I’m downloading too. World worth the price for me.

Generally a great item, but there's some things that I wish were different. First the positives. - It enables connecting a mic to my Hero 11 with a 3.5mm aux cable - It adds multiple attachment points for accessories which are well positioned and very useful - The DJI Mic 2 RX natively slots into either of the accessory attachment points. The negatives: - The foam cover for the microphone is REALLY hard to remove without feeling like your about to break either the case or the foam cover. It also prevents the DJI Mic 2 RX from fitting. I put it on once to test it and will never be using it again. - The latch to release the camera from the case is extremely hard to open. I've never had any issues opening the battery cover that's native to the Hero 11, but the media case latch doesn't unlatch all the way and you have to dig your fingernails in from both side of the latch and seriously pry at it for it to open. - It sucks that an accessory this expensive is even required to connect a mic to the Hero 11, but I knew that going in when I got the Hero 11. Get a Hero 13+ if you want to use BT and bypass all this extra hardware.

The Media Mod is a game changer for your GoPro period. If you're wearing the camera and trying to get good audio, especially outdoors in less than ideal circumstances, this is a no brainer. Its adds a number of functions to the camera that aren't first apparent. 1. Virtually illuminates wind noise, especially when combined with the built wind reduction in camera. No deadbeats or any other wind reduction feature needed. 2. Adds the ability to plug in external Mics via the 3.5mm Mic jack and wireless systems like the DJI Mic 2 or RODE wireless for example. 3. Lets you choose between the front Mic or the Back Mic depending on your vlogging direction. 4. Adds a rugged outer case to the camera for more protection in rough terrain. 5. You can power the camera via the USB-C port for longer shoots, streaming setups. 6. You can use the HDMI port to connect to TV and external monitors. Its definitely the best sounding microphone for the GoPro I've ever used and the ability to add pro quality Mics vis the Mic input is a game changer.

I've been using the media mod for a few weeks now and it's been great. I would recommend for someone like me who likes to view the footage on a decent sized TV, having the media mod is a very simple process. I've also been utilising the rear microphone on the mod to keep mic noise down while riding my bicycle and shooting at the same time. A great price and delivery was very fast, so I'm very happy.

It does improve sound recordings and filters out wind noises. Just make sure it’s fully plugged in, as it happened to me that no sound was recorded at all.

The GoPro Media Mod offers serious versatility for creatives—perfect for mounting gear and improving wind performance. However, its built-in mic is more of a convenience than a final solution. For the best quality, pair it with an external microphone and polish your audio in post. If you’re building a robust, pro-level setup, this is a strong addition. But if you just need better voice capture without extra gear, skip it.

hero9にレンズを付けて、逆さまにしても水平を保持できるよう購入しました。 使ってみると、気に入った動画が撮影できず、レンズは標準に戻しました。 hero9は音がいまいちな気がしたので、ワイヤレスマイクを付けてみたところ、なかなか良い録音が出来るようになりました。そこは気に入ってます。 しかし、バッテリー交換、SDカードの取り出しでは、モジュラーを外す必要があり、いちいち面倒くさいです。性能はともかく、使いにくい。改良を望みます。
