I've had many similar watches to this (black digital sport watches) and this one has a major flaw: when you turn on the backlight, it instantly turns off when you press another button. For example, if you're setting the alarm at night, you will have to push the backlight button like 20 times.

I needed a simple and inexpensive watch for a military training in Germany. This watch was perfect for my needs, it gave me both times home and Germany time, the back light was bright and after three weeks of intense training the watch is still in good condition. I would definitely buy it again if I need to.

As another reviewer said, this watch is clean and simple with no graphics of any kind on the bezel or band. It looks surprisingly upscale because of it. The band is made of a very soft and comfortable rubbery material, but only time will tell how long it will last. The display is very low contrast, and sometimes I have to rotate it see the numerals. The display lights very brightly when activated.I use this as my everyday casual watch, and since I'm retired I like that it has the date and day displayed because every day is a Saturday! (Sorry to all of you that have to work!) I do not use any of the other features on it, so I have nothing to report on that front. So far I have not put a scratch on it, but the display face is made of acrylic and it's flush to the bezel, so it's just a matter of time until it gets marred. At this price I would just pick up another one if it gets too beat up! It's a great watch for the money.

I wanted a simple waterproof digital watch that I could wear around the house when doing chores and hanging out in the pool. When it worked, it was great. Clean, easy to read display and a solid backlight that was easy to read in the dark.However, it is now dead. While it seemed to hold up well enough being around water, after being in water, no more than 2 meters deep, the seal failed and water got inside. The watch face was fogged up with condensation.I opened the case back to try to get the watch to dry out. I found no rubber o-ring inside to provide a seal. It was dependent on a raised plastic ring on the inside body to make a seal. It was not very effective.I had pretty low expectations for this watch and wasn't really even looking for all that much out of it...but, basic water tightness as advertised was apparently more than could be delivered.

Love this watch!!! No other cheapie watch has this type of LED brightness!! Unfortunately I had to return the first one’s “c” button, the button that’s needed to “set” the watch was not working or would take multiple squeezes to get it to work so I can set the watch. No big deal, cant expect too too much for its price. But.... They immediately shipped me out another in less than 2 days and works as it should! I actually slept with it on its that comfortable! Don’t hesitate to buy this watch! It displays the name of the day, the month/date, hrs mins and seconds all on its dial which is perfect! No flipping through buttons for day, date, time, etc! I can set it to operate in 24hr military time too. The alarm function is wonderful too! It also beeps on the hour which is appropriately loud which I like and need...and it has a feature for a second Time Zone as well! All for this price?! Crazy! Absolutely Love it! And im a big watch guy..I have over 25 and the LED light on this particular watch is absolutely fantastic! I cant brag enough about the LED backlighting! Super duper bright! This watch has a super soft silicone strap which makes it very light and comfortable!, as I mentioned prior, comfortable enough to sleep with it on which I NEVER DO! It looks great, and very “cool”. So if you’re thinking of buying it, DO IT! You wont regret it! ..and definitely being so inexpensive! This would also make a great gift for someone too as the box it comes in is small and plain jane and you cant tell its a sub $20 watch! Looks much much more expensive and doesnt look cheap AT ALL!! Very happy and proud of this purchase regardless of the initial broken watch with its non functioning “set” button. STILL giving it 5 stars all day long!

Broken! Not durable at all! The plastic where the strap attaches to the face cracked off. It can't be fixed or worn. It will be returned as defective.

My previous $50 watch lost 5 seconds per day and I had to reset at 15 seconds to meet my requirements. This watch at $14 is very accurate, less than 1 second per day. Band is cheap and hard to fasten, but a $14 watch cannot have all the bells and whistles. With watches with plastic band, that is usually the reason to throw out when they break. This watch is a more standard band connection and should be easy to replace. Time will tell.

Excellent value. I bought the black dial with the led back light. Its perfect & inexpensive. Love that it has mineral glass and Day, Time with Seconds and Date all in view. Silicon wristband is nice. It has other functions i dont need like stop watch with lap time, timer and alarm and it has a dual time that i dont need either (just time) accessible through one button push top right. Easy to set. Not sure how long time stays accurate but it still jives with my cell phone since i set it 18 hrs ago. Good enough for me.All i know regarding water resistance is you cant push buttons or there is no water seal. If you need serious under water performance dont look at a $16 watch lol. Would buy and recommend highly.
