Love this book! Beautiful photographs of great work! Inspiring text!

Words cannot describe how much I adored this book. I own thousands of interior design and architecture books, and I’ll be honest, most of the time I will simply flip through them looking at the pictures. This book I read cover to cover including the acknowledgments pages! It was that good! I have never been able to tell people what my style was before as it never seemed to fit into a neat box, but thanks to this designer, I would now call it Eclectic Exuberance. I love color, pattern, and texture and adore mixing seemingly disparate items that have the commonality of being things that I love. This book was by far the best design book that I have read in years, and I’m not just saying that as a fellow Michigander. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

This book is an absolute delight. I happen to know Corey personally, but that has only enriched my appreciation of the work here. There is an accessibility to the narrative, interspersed as it is with stories from his personal biography and upbringing in Detroit, that makes for a breezy, fizzy read. The imagery throughout is divine, as he takes the best elements of classic design and progressive sensibility, mixing in a healthy dose of whimsy and sheer joy. You will be inspired not only by his clever use of space, but by the lack of pretension and his willingness to embrace the crazy notion that real people live in these homes and have attachment to furnishings and decor from their pasts. I highly recommend this book, particularly as all of us turn (in this moment) to loving and appreciating and enhancing our homes as the sum and center of our daily lives. Highly recommend

A gift from my husband, Dennis, the book ‘Design Remix’ by designer Corey Damen Jenkins is a master class of scrumptious rooms filled with unexpected mixes of beauty and edge, highs and lows, beauty and drama, as well as peace and serenity. Exciting to watch him fearlessly break old design rules and reinvent with wit and wisdom. His own incredible story of persistence, breaking barriers and stereotypes is so inspirational. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him and was so struck by his grace, charm and kindness, bundled with a steely strength that is in the true sense of the word, awesome. There are more than 779 things that I love about this book!! You must read to know the significance of that number. Amazing and inspirational for anyone who loves interior design. Great book about design, but, nothing new here. Gorgeous photos of rooms that most people could only dream of accomplishing.

This is not only a beautiful book of pictures, but his stories are so inspiring and heartwarming. I look at the pictures over and over unlike most of my other design books which I skim through then use for decoration. I’m waiting on the next book!

I received a damaged book. When I opened the front cover of the book, I discovered the book was separated from the hard cover of the book. However, my husband convinced me not to request a replacement book. My husband decided to try gluing the book back to the hard cover. Now, I am waiting for the glue to dry. I am disappointed to receive a book that is beautiful but damaged.

I live in Windsor, Ontario and it was such a pleasure to find this book by Mr. Jenkins who's originally from Detroit which is right across the border between the US and Canada. I love 💘 the book! It's vivid and inspiring. It's an amazing addition to my coffee table collection.

Und ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Buch und nicht nur der Geschichte des Designers, die er sehr liebevoll und eindrücklich erzählt, sondern auch von seinem Talent zutiefst beeindruckt.Das, was auf den herrlichen Fotos präsentiert wird, sucht seinesgleichen und zeigt, wie wunderschön Räume mit Antiquitäten, Farben, Mustern und Persönlichkeit eingerichtet werden können. Es ist kein Buch für Scandi- Fans oder Minimalisten. Aber diejenigen, die Eklektizismus und den amerikanischen Stil favorisieren, werden bei diesem wunderbaren Buch auf ihre Kosten kommen. Jede Seite lässt mein Herz hüpfen und versetzt mich in Staunen. Ich wünschte, ich hätte auch nur ansatzweise dieses Talent...Auf jeden Fall neben Jonathan Adler mein neuer Lieblingsdesigner und Inspirationsquelle!Absolute Kaufempfehlung. 5 Sterne, leider kann ich nicht mehr vergeben ;-)

I like this book, I am not in love with it! Great bones and structure to the rooms but for my taste it goes just a bit too far. For sure a nice purchase, I am pleased to have it but not a "go to source".
