DC Coupler Replacement for NP-FW50 Dummy Battery Power Adapter

I was able to power my camera with this dummy battery while streaming, and it worked perfectly. I've set it up pretty easily, it doesn’t overheat, and I don’t have to switch batteries at all! For the price and simplicity, highly recommend for those needing for a streaming/webcam setup.

Works well, but beware losing the USB to barrel plug connector - it fits standard 12v plugs for astrophotography, and mixing them up seems like it could cause serious problems!

This review comes within hours of receiving this product so its not a long term use review. What i did want to comment on was if you get this and plug it into a 5v plug like from a iPhone charger etc, you may find lole me that the camera keeps restarting and doesnt stay on. I noticed comments from others for this and similar devices saying there was this problem but they thought it was a faulty product or it broke their camera. My solution to get it working was to simply plug the usb into a hub thats getting power from the laptop. So watch how you are powering this and maybe try a few different sources before writing it off if it doesnt work.

Bought for my ZV-E10. Hadn’t seen any reviews for this so was a bit wary, but I trust the Neewer brand and it works perfectly. Includes battery and cable.

The Neewer dummy battery arrived today I tested it straight away. This is the USB powered version. This dummy battery kit is surprisingly small comprising the dummy with attached lead and the USB connector which looks like it contains electronics the cable. The whole kit easily fit in one of the pockets in camera carrying bag. The " AC dummy" battery fitted into the camera battery compartment perfectly and clicked home just like the normal battery. It took a few moments to bend the power cable into the channel on top of the AC dummy, but once this was completed it fitted easily with the battery compartment cover closing easily. I ran my Sony RX10 iv for 20 minutes, taking a few shots and some video too, there was no overheating and the battery level indicator showed 100% the whole time. This unit will enable me to video for a long period without the worry of battery failure at the critical moment ! Hoghly reccomend

Bought to use with my A6400 for when creating content for my YouTube channel. This works as it should. Works both with my power bank and also a normal usb plug adapter. Haven't had any issues and can run my camera for hours with no problem. Recommended.

Batteries don’t last long, but this is a great power your camera, like using it has a webcam.

This adapter really works. I no longer have to worry about those weak FW-50 batteries. Now, with all those power bricks available, you have all the power you need in your camera for extended periods.

I have used it extensively for the first time today with my Sony ZV-E10 and it works! I powered the camera with an old ANKER powerbank which seemed to have no trouble at all to power it, after 5 hours of filming the ANKER just dropped one dot (of 5 or so) So you can go on for hours!! Just what I needed!

It acts like a usual battery when plugged to a powerbank, then after some time camera shuts down. If I plug a powerbank directly to cameras usb then I have continuous power, but I cannot use intervalometer for example.
