The inside is literally a fan and it blows out air from the top. Riddle me this, Sharper Image? How are you purifying the air and why does this thing need an air filter when there is nothing inside this piece of plastic but a single fan that only blows out air. I guess you get around false advertising by having the box say the HEPA filter is what's removing or SHOULD be removing dust, smoke particles etc? It's definitely not the singular fan doing it.The highest setting is loud, but I'm not marking it down more than I probably should because it's actually helped with my tinnitus at times and it's fairly easy for me to ignore it even when i sleep at night. Other than that, I've run this on high for over 15 days now and the HEPA filter is spotless while the actual spot this thing sits at is covered with a layer of dust. Don't know what every high review is getting that I'm not, here. A working product maybe? I'll give this another go in another spot of the room but I'm not confident in this thing and I'm more than likely returning it.

We have it on our work desk and love how fresh the air smells in our home office! It has a little hmmm to it, but overall, you can smell the difference it is making.

Feels pretty cheap for a Sharper Image product, but it’s working! Works good so don’t let the feel of it fool you.

No problems with function or style. Would like it if it were battery optional vs just plug in, but that's minor. Three settings so if you don't want much sound/noise, just use the lower setting. Can't really tell what the effectiveness is but the operation is all good. Would be even better if it were a bit smaller for travel.

So far so good. Been using since Christmas. The one in the kitchen really clears out cooking odors fast so sure seems to help clear the air.

Use this product in my vehicle for air purification along with DampRid to eliminate dampness musty odor. It fits perfectly in my cup holder. Although louder than expected, it’s not unreasonably so. I would buy it again.

I use this in my car, after being outside or picking up my son from work. Piece of mind to know in a few minutes, I'm breathing clean air. Low noise, lightweight, portable and good value for money.

Im using it in my car. Quiet on low mode,you wont even hear it. I guess it's working in purifying the air inside my car. Dont see much of small fibers/dust flying inside the car.

I decided to purchase this item and was first impressed by its sleek design. I use it in my personal space and my car (of course). It fits perfectly in my cup holder. Additionally, ignoring the fact that it is louder than I expected, but it still works well in my small car. So highly recommend it if you are ok with the noise.
