Asian Crack
You know, I think this is the next big Asian condiment since the “rooster” sauce. For those who don’t know, that’s sirachi sauce. Personally, I could eat this chili sauce with all my meals and pass on the rooster sauce. It’s got that special umami taste that’s indescribable. It didn’t spice at all but enhances all your Asian and non-Asian meals. I made some Asian noodle dish and my husband and I literally used half the jar. It was that good! That’s coming from a couple that has expired condiments in the fridge and tend to throw things out b/c it’s unused after a year or two. Not with this sauce. We can have 3 meals and be done with one jar! Damn this company for making such a good sauce. Not we’re addicted. Can’t untaste this wonderful concoction of spice and crunch.

Positively Addicted
I love all chili crisp, but this, the OG, is the one you must have on head at ll times. It adds so much depth to dishes & as a person living on a tight budget, it makes some otherwise hum-drum foods much more delicious. I had to take a break due to a illness and I am waiting until my stomach is ok enough to eat more than dry toast so I can go back to my beloved angry grandma Note: I know the shipping experience may vary from seller, so make sure you get it "Sold by Amazon, Fulfilled by Amazon" because both times I have ordered from here, my jars were wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a box with paper. I was hesitant to order any food from here, but this seems the best way to go bc if they screw up , at least you can request a refund.

Amazing on white cheddar and shells! Thanks to chef Samin Nosrat for mentioning it on NPR!
I was listening to the NPR radio show called "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" when I heard chef Samin Nosrat talking about how she'd make a box of Annie's White Cheddar Shells and add frozen peas and top it off with a crispy chili oil, I was intrigued. A crispy chili oil? What on earth? How can an oil be crispy? I had to find out. Came right here to Amazon to search for it, and decided to try this brand, as it was the one that was the cheapest. When Samin Nosrat said a bowl of this pasta with peas and a drizzle of a spicy chili oil was a great thing to eat, she was not kidding!! I always loved mac & cheese with peas, but never the white cheddar shells with frozen peas. But now, after trying it once, I am hooked, and I find myself making boxes and boxes of the stuff, and adding a nice heaping tbsp of this brand of crispy chili oil. It is not too spicy, but just right. It adds enough heat to the mac and cheese, and every couple of mouthfulls you will suddenly bite into the crispiest nugget in the oil, and it is divine! At first, I thought it was a big chunk of fried garlic, but now I'm thinking it might be a fried soy bean! I am not sure what it is, but it has kept me coming back for more and more. And this oil isn't just good on mac and cheese. It's amazing on mashed potatoes, or roasted potatoes. Or on roasted turkey. I've really been to determined to eat it on the mac and cheese more than anything, but I am IN LOVE with this stuff! I have bought 4 jars already, in the past two months, just for myself, and a jar for my nephew, who really enjoyed it too. I bet this stuff would be great on ramen noodles, or any kind of pasta. I've read some people even top their ice cream with it! The stuff is so good, I wouldn't be surprised. This brand has really grabbed me and held on. The price is right. I got lucky and bought a 3 pack for less then $12, but the price has gone up. So if you use the Honey extension for better prices, make sure to add it to your droplist and buy it when the price drops. Stock up, like I plan to do! I am down to one jar left, and I am not kidding you when I say I literally pack it up and take it with me when I visit my mom. I am waiting to stock up on a few jars so I have plenty at both houses. This stuff has been my favorite thing to eat lately. I just can't seem to get enough of it!

Crispy Texture and Good Flavor
I like the flavor and texture. It goes well on a wide variety of dishes, especially rice. My only disappointment is the low heat level. I don't like crazy-hot sauces, e.g., those made with Habaneros or Ghost Peppers. On the other hand this is a bit too mild for my taste. Rather than loading it on to excess for a more spicy effect, I combine it with some Thai Chili Sauce that is a bit too hot for my taste and the blend works quite well.

taste is subjective, but we love this Disappointed Asian Dad Chili sauce at the house.
While we call the jar of this "That chili sauce with the dissapointed Asian father" at the house, we are far from dissapointed. Add great smokey flavor and texture to a dish. The chili component is super spicy, but it is chili for those not used to spices. Being raised with thai spices and being from New Orleans, I find the spice in this sauce absolutely wonderful. It's AMAZING when used with dishes like fried rice with shrimp, or Jambalaya. Love this sauce.

Incredible flavor and aroma!
Has a memorable aroma and taste---exotic, but not intimidating. This oil, which, IMO, is only moderately hot at most, has many possible applications, from poke bowls and sushi to a dramatic topping for veggies, starch, or nearly any meat. Haven't tried it yet as marinade for broiling/BBQing meat, but I'm going to be giving it a try. This stuff would be good just put on rice with some veggy or meat, or just straight on the rice. I'm a fan.

Buy this locally
Found out the hard way. You can typically purchase this product off the shelf at most Asian markets for less than half the price here. I assume because shipping is being included into the price. It is somewhat tasty, but a little inconsistent throughout, some hard chunks, a little bitter in places, and pretty much a "one-note" flavor profile that is mostly burnt garlic. Good on eggs, noodles, and rice. Honestly its easy and better to make yourself at home.

Simply the best. Once you’ve had it, you’ll get cravings for it!
Always fantastic. That’s why we buy two big jars at a time!
