Are the beets baked or fried?

These are NOT like in the grocery store...they are gross and chewy...almost spongy. They are supposed to be crispy and a little airy. They are baked...definitely not fried. But I would NOT trust this seller. I'll never buy them on Amazon again. I buy them all the time at Sprouts.
