Great candy . It was fresh

This was okay to look at, but the flavors lacked brightness... It will stick together and many pieces were broken. For xmas jar display and then give away to grandkids or office buddies after holidays is what I would suggest.

Loved it! Memories of childhood

I purchased these to use in making a super fancy, authentic gingerbread house for the Holidays. I was looking for that old world feel, so aesthetically pleasing was even more important than flavor. I wanted the candy to glimmer like little jewels and show off the intricacy of their making.The stripped ribbon and image canes (little flower in the center) were the most important to this effect.The candy arrived fairly intact with an acceptable level of minor breakage, though lacking both the ribbon version and the little picture cane types but for one of each, and the ribbon unpatterned orange and was broken. Utterly disappointing. The rest were perfectly acceptable stripped puff pillow types, but definitely not worth the extra cost. Right now I’m considering if it’s worth my energy to return them, and I’m so aggravated that I think so. $12.95 is a lot of money to pay for something that isn’t really as described.Also, a heads up: the three favors are true to old fashioned candy flavorings and are peppermint, spearmint and anis. Anise has a very distinct licorice flavor, so these do taste like minty licorice, which is kinda weird in the contemporary tongue. Little kids will not like them.Overall a washout and a waste of money.

The candy is good but most of it is broken. It looks like the bag was beaten. A bunch of little pieces.

I really wanted, and was expecting to receive, pretty much what is shown on the package. As you can see, the two kinds of candy that I wanted the most are sorely missing. There was the equivalent of maybe one piece of ribbon candy (hard to tell because it was in several pieces), and about 4 pieces of the sliced flower/fruit candies. While the other candies are fine, there's just not an even mix of all of them. Won't be buying this bag again.

It's a nice selection of hard candies. The variety was very welcome.
