Blackout is completely opaque, works very well
This is for the blackout version. It works great, it is completely opaque. This might sound obvious, but this is not easy to find, as a shift worker, I have tried many "blackout" products that let a lot of light in.I actually found this to be a pretty forgiving DIY project. I'm not particularly good at anything that requires steady hands or fine motor skills, but these sheets stretch and are easy to cut. I even dropped a piece a couple times, but it does unstick from itself and you can clean it off by brushing it. I cleaned the window thoroughly before application, and then sprayed windex on the glass, and it attached just fine. They are easy to remove by pulling, though.Edit: I decided it worked so well that I did another window with the same product. I used a trick on my windows, I got some black electrical tape to cover up the edges where I didn't cut 100% perfectly, plus the tape helps a little with adhesion, although I don't think the film really needs it.That was a few weeks ago now. This film is really great, I can open and close my window, and it isn't coming off or anything. I don't even need to think about it.

WORKS GREAT
O K. I have a south facing window with sun blocking drapes that are very expensive and a little to short so the bright sun hits about 4 inches of my light sensitive floor. I bought this product cut it in half which gave me about an 8 inch strip and applied it to the bottom of the window. Install was a breeze. It completely blocked the light and went on very easily. Perfect for my needs. The only potential issue would be if it comes off but there have been no complaints about that. Here are my suggestions for the install. I cut the product about a half inch longer than i needed. I then cleaned the window thoroughly. I had a 16oz water bottle with 3 drops of dish soap. I sprayed the window, peeled the product and sprayed the back with the water. The result is that when you put it on the window it slides very easily. It was very easy to move and adjust. Being new I put on a little more water than necessary which made more work to squeegee it off. It does not take a lot of water on either surface, just a very light spray will do. Many people use credit cards as a squeegee but i used a 3 inch and 6 inch flexible dry wall knives an they worked like a charm. It was extremely easy to put on an it works exactly as I had hoped. I highly recommend this product.

I'd give it a B+
Having a bedroom that gets full eastern sunlight can be a bit of a nightmare, as many can attest. There came a need for my s/o to work nights when the world went sideways and dawn was no longer a friendly welcome - something had to be done. I'm not displeased with this solution.Pros:- Drastically darkens the room (not completely black out, direct sun can still shine in a tiny bit)- No glues or adhesives required- Straight forward to apply- Landlord friendlyCons:- Not 100% black out- Too much heat and it will slip - just had a corner do it, but after only 4 days in May.- Cutting it precisely for the surface is...a pain in the a** - recommend an art knife and a ruler- Rather easy to tear during placementUltimately my solution for the 2nd & 3rd con was not pretty, but is effective. I got a bunch of black electrical tape and I taped up all around the edges. No slip, no bits of light peeking through edges

Super easy to apply - much more forgiving than other ...
Super easy to apply - much more forgiving than other films. It is thicker and softer than traditional "tint" films, but does truly darken a room. There is a bit of translucence - you will be able to see that there is light outside, but this is the only film I've ever found that qualifies as blackout (except for aluminum foil, if you want that "meth lab" aesthetic). Highly recommend.Install tip: don't try to be cute and pre-cut it to size. Cut it oversize by a minimum of 2" in each direction. Wet the hell out of it and the window, and slap it up there. Be sure both sides are wet before you start smoothing it out. When you have all the bubbles out of the middle and are down to the edges, use a razor or Exacto knife and metal ruler; press the ruler against the film and apply pressure toward the outside edge as you slide your knife down the length. After you've trimmed the excess, remove the remainder of the bubbles from the edges. Use less pressure than you did in the middle to prevent additional stretching of the film and screwing up your immaculately trimmed edges. :)

Doesn't stay on
Used this to blacken out the windows in the bedrooms in our camper.I'll start with the positive. I liked the fact that that it was truly blackoutand easy to install. The negatives: the first 2 windows I tried one didn't stay on longer than 3 days. I only did 2 windows at first just to see if it would work. I figured maybe I did something wrong and tried again. Then I redid the window that fell off and did another 3 windows however it only last a week. So unfortunately I do not have a good review as I was hoping it would last longer than a week considering we are only at the beginning of the camping season.

Easy to cut and install - Terrible to stick
These sheets are very easy to cut up and install. The directions are written right on the back, along with 1-inch measurement squares. Sadly, after a few days of being up, they slowly one-by-one start to fall back down again.

Not quite as expected…
Material is very thick and seems it would black out well. However, for my large windows, it will not hold up and requires tape. Definitely not what I want to look at, as I expected good adherence to windows for a clean look. Not what I expected. Contacted seller about same, and received full refund.

Great
I have tried a lot of blackout products with each one letting me down in terms of blocking out light completely. I put this on and it made a huge difference. There is no light coming through at all. It was okay to install I did it by myself but noticed today in the light there were a couple areas where it slipped during install not completely alligning with the frame. However should be easy to fix since u can remove and replace. Overall good product and I will be purchasing more!

Amazing Customer Service
This is an amazing product, easy to install and remove. I rent a house and I did not wanted to install permanent films . This was the perfect solution. I highly recommend this. The blackout capabilities are great and more importantly the seller customer service is great ( this is not a sponsored review) is a fair honest feedback. I will buy from them again in the future for any blackout needs
