LP includes three 180-gram vinyl Review: You can calibrate your entire system to this album! - As a serious audiophile since the mid-70’s, I’ve become maybe even more critical about the reproduction of high-fidelity stereo than I should be over the years. I’m centered on analog audio and my ‘minimum requirements’ to the way the media source of the audio sounds can ruin the music for me if it isn’t recorded & printed at least 90% perfect. I still own 80% of the LP’s that I had since the 1970’s but my stereo system components have been constantly upgraded to the best that I can afford. Unfortunately, that does limit my preferences but even so, I still can get some incredible sound from my MC2105 power amp, Kxxxxx speakers, and Flxxxx RT-85 turntable, (with an Oxxxxx 2M Blue cartridge). That’s the basic system, (censored so that desertcart doesn’t suspect I’m trying to sell something), and it’s what I used to listen to this Remastered Pink Floyd Vinyl LP set. I also own the “Delicate sounds of Thunder” CD that came out shortly after the concert in NY back in ’88. The CD player I use for my CD’s and Blu-ray discs is on the higher-end scale and yet, that original CD of the concert (which was of mediocre quality), didn’t stand a chance compared to this LP! When I purchased the Vinyl LP from desertcart, I also purchased the Blu-ray disc, (“Delicate Sound Of Thunder - Restored, Re-edited, Remixed”), which I have yet to listen to, (and watch). I’ll do a review of that disc at a later time. As for the LP, you can believe me when I say that I think the LP is about $50 underpriced. That’s right, “Underpriced”! This set is a Collectors grade press and if cared for, will certainly be worth a lot more in the years to come. The “Delicate Sound Of Thunder - Restored, Re Remixed clean”, is a professionally pressed, 180 gram, vinyl triple-album, set by “We Are Vinyl”. The set includes three LP’s and a beautiful, full-size, coffee-table book, printed on high-quality paper in full HD color. The book document’s the concert in New York and includes details of all the arrangements, writers, and people involved. In fact, there’s nothing about this LP set that was done in any less than the absolutely best that technology had to offer. The company “We Are Vinyl” (wearevinyl.com), is behind this LP print and even offers a free MP-3 version (special code provided with the album set), to those who purchased the album. As I said, I bought the Blu-ray disc too, but because I do my own recording to Reel-to-Reel tape, I’ll be making an uncompressed copy of specific selections for use in my vehicle. I’m not likely to make use of the Mp3 offer but it’s a great bonus for most people who don’t go through the recording procedures like I (and many others), do. For the true audiophile, it just doesn’t get better than this, (seriously). Even a ‘casual listener’ (ear buds and all) will enjoy this LP set. I’m not going to list the songs included in this set because that’s already printed in the desertcart ad page. However, I will say that even if you already have the LP’s that were released shortly after the original concert, you need to get this remastered set! I strongly recommend it to all Pink Floyd fans, those who enjoy the ‘full body’ of analog vinyl, and of course, the “collectors”! Just remember; “handle them from the edges!” Rich Review: Sounds great. - Just what you would expect for a live Pink Floyd cd. Play it loud.

Pink Floyd rocks this concert cd with great unreleased tracks.
Terminal Frost is the Gem here amongst the other Pink Floyd standards that we all love to hear! Maybe mixed with just a bit too much bass on certain tracks. However, you can adjust your EQ settings accordingly.. Enjoy this great music Pink Floyd has re-mastered!

Just Another Brick.
Got it in 1 day I was amazed it came so quick, I put it in my CD Player started listening to it set the Bass & Treble on my stereo & The Sound was perfect. It was like being in the Audience those nights when it was recorded in NY back in 88 I remember the last time I saw them was during the Wall Tour in 81 I think it was.

Bass players take note...
I was excited to see this CD reissued, as it has long been one of my favorites. The remastering is exceptional, and I appreciate the addition of the extra tracks from the DVD. However, be aware that these are NOT all the same performances as were included on the original CD. Case in point: Money. This was (and is) one of my favorite tracks from the original CD, and in my opinion probably the best live version of this song. Almost immediately, I realized that this was a different night's performance. My personal favorite moment on this album - Guy Pratt's bass solo on Money - totally gone! What a letdown for me. Don't get me wrong... the version of Money that is included is a stellar performance, as are all of the tracks (naturally), just not the track I expected to hear. To sum it all up, I am glad to have this re-release, and I am glad to still have the original as well. Can anyone have too much Pink Floyd?? Nah...

Just what I wanted.

Finally, a "less edited" version.
This review is for the CD version only. Well, at first it sounded a little too "bright and shiny" for me. But I quickly got used to it. An improvement from the original release from back in the day. The original CD release always sounded a little "dull". The longer "fuller" version of "On the turning away" makes this worth it in itself. "One slip" is included on this version and it sounds amazing. Overall a great version of a great live show. Recommended!

Eine grandiose Live Aufnahme. Gerade auf Vinyl hat man das Gefühl mitten in der Konzerthalle zu stehen. Sehr schön gemachte Box mit 180g Vinyl. Ein must have in jeder Pink Floyd Sammlung!
