This is definitely worth buying. The very first time I used it for a potluck to an event someone stole all the spoons before the potluck. 😡 Have to buy it again.

Needed items quick shipped for a party serving utensils, so it was convenient, but when washing them after the party, I realized there were some jagged edges. One can never have too many serving spoons. For the price and the ability to overnight ship, I give it 4 stars.

It seems like most of the serving utensils sold either come in sets with your silverware (thus you have to buy more silverware to get an additional set or replacements), or are designed for use on a banquet and are sized accordingly. These are a nice in-between with an 8.5" total length and a wide spoon area to allow for easier scooping. I don't think I would recommend these for scooping hard ice cream as the spoon area is larger and rounder than most spoons and the handles are not designed for heavy use and would likely flex or bend some. But for scooping cooked vegetables, rice, etc, these fit the need perfectly.
