It is a good substitute for Algicell Ag Calcium Alginate Dressing with Antimicrobial Silver product. Using in wound care for wheelchair dependent hubby who has pressure ulcers in buttock area. I apply an irrigation product (Gentamicin 40mg) to saturation point in the dressing. My hubby then is allowed to sit and rest while the products clean and heal while I prepare his regular would care daily dressings. Then we remove the Alginate dressing, and apply the dressing products Rx'd by his wound care doctor. She approves this technique as a temporary use between times of dressing changes.

Following knee replacement, my surgeon sent me a limited quantity of a surgical site dressing but not enough so I ordered these. They were just as effective. These definitely worked for me.
