11+ Vocabulary Flashcards for Ages 10-11 - Pack 1: for GL and all other test providers (CGP 11+ Ages 10-11)

My son will be sitting for 11+ exams this year. I bought this flashcards so that he can practice and improve his vocabulary skills. At the front of the card, there will be a word. At the back of the card there will be a short definition, example of the word use in sentence, synonyms as well as antonyms. My son finds some of the words are easy, and some are difficult. I think they are a good mixture level of diffculty for a child to practice for exams or just to improve word skills. These flashcards are brilliant. The cards comes in a box where you can keep them save and tidy after using them. They are just the right size and easy to carry around. Definitely worth buying.

Good set of vocabulary for children to learn from. Depends on the learning style but have proven to be very effective!

My son and daughter enjoyed using these flashcards as part of their 11-plus exam practice. The vocabulary not only helps for the exam but for future lessons, as higher-level vocabulary is key to improving writing skills in school life.

Good content and quality material

The card has a main word. On the back you get a sentence using the word. Also get a list of similar words and a list of words with the opposite meaning. This gives my young person lots of new words from one word. I am working through them and have noticed his vocabulary both spoken and written has increased. When he has learnt these I will be buying box 2.

I really like these, we have turned it into a dinner game!

Didn’t really end up using them, as a little overwhelmed by them.

I bought it because we are working on CGP books and it’s a good revision. Just one word on each card, short definition on the other side. Just few minutes a day, but every day. Very portable cards. I always keep few in my bag :) We tried to make our own but those work better for us. I would say it’s not essential if you are on a budget, but very useful.
