Such a great product! I've recently switched to carob from chocolate due to heartburn issues, and this product has been so user-friendly for someone new to the ingredient. I use this every single day in smoothies! It's milled to a fine powder with a texture almost indiscernible from cocoa/cacao powder, making it a perfect 1:1 replacement for those looking to swap out chocolate in their baking recipes. Amazing taste - best described as a slightly sweet, less bitter version of cacao powder - and blends easily and dissolves as expected; a little will cling and clump just like regular cocoa powder. Unbeatable value, since the entire bag is only about $7 and it lasted me almost 6 weeks. And it's Organic, which gives you some peace of mind in terms of product quality. Try using this in low-acid recipes, or for kid's desserts if you don't want them bouncing off the walls (since cacao has natural amounts of caffeine), or if you simply want some extra fiber and luxurious flavor. Odds are most people wouldn't be able to tell it isn't chocolate :)

I bought this for my homemade coffee creamer. I was just using Anthonys cocoa but had to cut back because I found out it may interfere with calcium absorption and I have osteoporosis, so this carob works well and tastes just like chocolate , but I do use a little of my other cocoa for flavor. Carob doesnt interfere with calcium absorption so it works great for me. I was told that moderate use of cocoa was fine but I didnt want to take any chances.

YUMMY! No caffeine, no sugar (I added stevia), non-fat so you can control that. Also, not as Acidic as chocolate so many people who have acid reflux can substitute the Carob powder instead of Cacao (i.e., chocolate). I'm very thankful that God created both Carob & Cacao.

Has to be mixed really well. it tastes pretty good. added cinnamon. But bag came with a rip in it and powder was all over.

Good product - there’s a mild sweetness to it. Used for hot cacao drink in milk.

My favorite carob powder. Wish it was in stock on a regular basis. No bitter taste.
