After opening, do you have to keep the slush mix refrigerated if you are going to store it for more than a day?

Yep. It's only a half-gallon bottle though so it doesn't take up much room. I find it fits nicely in the refrigerator door.

Shelf life of unopened container of mix?

I believe it's a year, They have an expiration date.
