Best Protein EVER!
I hate a lot of the proteins out there, especially powder. There are only two brands of liquid I like, but only one flavor of them. I really get tired of having the same thing every day. I have to drink the protein and need a minimum of 30g due to the amount I can get in during the day. I tried different powders only to find they were gritty, tasted awful, too thick, or just plain gross. I gave up finding the powders and kept drinking the liquid every single day. I came across this one and saw that it was a small scoop with a lot of protein in it still. They had a small bag for me to try instead of having to buy the expensive large can and wasting it or giving it away because I didn't like it. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. It is not think, there is no taste too it, and I can pretty much put it in anything I want. This allows me to have it anything, food or drink. It is a great new experience for me. The only thing you want to remember is you have to mix in something at room temperature. I mix it then put it in what I need I want it in to mix it. It does not take much water to mix it. Sometimes I split in half and put it in two different drinks. Definitely worth the buy.

Bag mislabeled, but correct in volume and works well.
I initially tried Genepro from a sample in my Bulu box and really liked it since itโs tasteless and can be mixed in hot and cold stuff. I mixed half of the sample in hot tea and half in cold water to verify itโs mixability and it works well. When I came on here to order it, I did notice the reviews saying that the 45 serving bag was fraudulent, but I decided to order that size anyway. Once I received it, I did notice the stickers covering up the original packages serving size and volume (see the pictures), so I decided to test it and see. I received it and weighed the bag itself and saw that it measured ~375g. Which should equate out to ~52 servings, but you have to factor in the package size a little. There was still questioning in my mind, so I ordered another bag of 30 serving size and weighed the both of them. 45 serving bag= (weighed 13.2oz)= 374.2g/ 7.2g per serving= 51.97 servings (-package weight) 30 serving bag= (weighed 9.5oz) = 269.32g/ 7.2g per serving= 37.4 servings(-package weight) I did open the bags and verify that only the scoop was present along with the powder in the bags, so Iโm guessing that the company made a mistake when having the labels for their powder made and accidentally put 30 servings on the ones that shouldโve been 45 and instead of paying a bunch of money for more bags to be made that donโt look to be recyclable, they just put stickers over the incorrect label. I did test to make sure this was tasteless and dissolved as good as the sample I initially got did, and it still works well from what I see.

BUY IT. BUY IT NOW.
I usually do not write reviews but I have tried a vast assortment of protein powders and when I say this one if fantastic, IT IS. There are always those companies who claim that you can stir their protein into whatever you are drinking and it will be clump free and it NEVER is. Well you CAN stir this on into liquid hot or cold and it will not clump. I put it in my coffee and I cannot taste it and I have a very discerning palate. I thought it might clump in hot coffee, but it did not. I mixed it with half and half and then poured that into hot coffee and it was like a cappuccino. I do not experience the horrid smell of protein when I bring it up to my nose and mouth either. That can be so off putting. I am very pleased....let me reiterate... VERY pleased with the quality of this product. Now there is one thing, however. They mention one tablespoon is equal to 30g of protein for 56 calories. On another site it was listed as more like 90 calories AND the tablespoon included with the product is NOT a true tablespoon, so I do not know how many grams of protein it really is nor do I know how many calories it really is and that IS significant, so I am going to write the company and raise these issues. Other than that, drinking it, tasting it and the texture are not problematic AT ALL.

Great flavorless protein
I love that this protein is flavorless and without fillers. My digestive system does not always tolerate whey protein isolates, but it does well with this. You can put this in smoothies, in oatmeal, on anything to get more protein. It blends or mixes in well and you would never know it's there. I have also put it in rice and my husband adds it to his lunch each day to up his protein intake. I have increased my protein intake because I am trying to build muscle, but this product is great just to get more protein in your diet. I think it is even recommended for long-term hospital patients who have trouble tolerating food. It is made in such a way that they have minimized the mass of it and one little 15 g scoop delivers 30 grams. You can also bake with it. We put it in Kodiak Power Cake muffins and I also put it into some coconut flour chocolate chip cookies that I make. It makes anything more nutritious and does not alter the flavor. It is also very reasonably priced and you don't have to ingest a bunch of extra ingredients that your body doesn't need.

A Tasteless Review - The battle between two unflavored protein powders
I had gastric sleeve surgery May 2015 and was tasked with increasing my protein intake. My bariatric surgeon offers several shakes, vitamins, and other bariatric foods/beverages at cost for the convenience of patients. Initially, I tried Unjury's unflavored protein from my provider's office. Below is the break down between the two. Unjury Unflavored Protein Powder: -21 g of protein per serving size -Serving size is about 2 tablespoons (Container has 15 servings) -90 Calories per serving -Cost is about $20 -Taste is very good. In a way, it seems to enhance the taste of some foods/beverages, especially those that are sweet. Not sure why that is. -Mixes best with room temperature or warm liquids. Too cold and the powder does not dissolve at all; too hot, and the protein will clump like overcooked cardboard eggs. Musclegen Genepro Unflavored Protein Powder: -30 grams of protein per serving size -Serving size is 1 tablespoon -98 Calories per serving - 30 servings per container -Cost is about $40-60 (depending upon source) -Taste is ok. Not as good as Unjury, but it's not an offensive taste, either. Tolerable. When I add it to coffee and tea, it seems to give the drink a milky/creamy taste and look. -Mixes well at most temperatures, except very hot temps. When the temp of your food or liquid is too hot, again, you get the cardboard scrambled egg effect. I am able to mix the powder with cold or iced beverages. It doesn't dissolve 100%, but probably about 90%-95%. Overall, I have to give the edge to Musclegen Genepro. First, it's so much easier to mix 1 tablespoon of powder into a liquid than to mix 2 tablespoons. The extra powder in Unjury sometimes causes me to have to adjust my food to fix the flavor. For example, when I add the Unjury to yogurt, it's so much powder that I have to add some stevia a a spash of almond milk or cream to sweeten and loosen up the yogurt/Unjury protein mixture. I don't have to do that with the Genepro because the amount of powder I am adding to the food is smaller in comparison. Next, with the Genepro, I have a little more flexibility in my beverage temperature since it does dissolve pretty well in colder liquids. While the price of Genepro is more, if you purchase the Genepro for $40 or less, the product has a better value than the Unjury because of the differences between the serving amounts (15 servings versus 30 servings). Finally, the #1 reason why I have decided to stay with Genepro is the protein amt to serving size ratio. Genepro has 30 g/1 tablespoon. Unjury has 21 g/2 tablespoons. Any protein powder mix that I have tried will do the cardboard egg transformation when mixing with liquids that are too hot. This issue is not unique to Genepro. I just put some Genepro in my hot tea. I added my boiling water, let the bag steep, then I cool the liquid for a few minutes and add my protein powder. The liquid is still got, but not hot enough to clump. If you absolutely have to have steaming hot beverages, yiu probably won't ever be able to add any protein powder, regardless of brand due. My suggestion, just let the liquid cool some. Sometimes I test my liquid temp by adding a few sprinkles of the powder to make sure it is not too hot. If it's too hot, the sprinkles will clump. If that's the case, I wait a bit more to allow more cooling, test again, if no clumping, I add the rest of the tablespoon. I have included a picture of my morning coffee to show that the Genepro completely dissolved. NOTE: In my cup, I have coffee, a splash of half & half, Genepro, and a tablespoon of Torani Sugarfree Hazlenut syrup. I usually make coffee using a french press. By the time I am pouring my cup of coffee after letting it brew in my French Press of Bel Air, the liquid, while still hot, is not too hot to curdle my protein mix. If you find your liquid too cool, after adding the protein, put the container into the microwave for 10-15 seconds to obtain your desired temp. So in summary, if adding to hot coffee/tea/soups don't just dump the powder in the coffee immediately before or after brewing, give your beverage sometime to cool. If Genepro was no longer on the market, I would go back to Unjury. Unjury is not bad, at all. It beats Genepro in taste and texture. Unjury also has many other products (i.e. chicken soup flavored protein, vitamins, ect.) that are worth looking into.

Great, product, mixes into my cool blue Gatorade easy, Plus the serving size on this is very small, but still high in protein!!!
Great, product, mixes into my cool blue gatorade so I can get my protein in and not have to drink a milk type protein powder. Sometimes it gets old drinking the same milk based protein all the time, so this is a nice change. It mixes well in warmer stuff, but okay in stuff that is cold. You can't taste it, but sometimes it does make the gatorade a little bit darker or chalky looking. Still tastes okay so no worries, and trust me I am picky about taste, cuz I cannot do a lot of these protein powders. The other one I like and I will pay extra for is the Unjury Powder!!! All of those are excellent and have no after taste. Plus the serving size on this is very small, but still has the same amount of protein, so it makes it worth it!!!

Decent product
i use this daily by adding to sugar free hot cocoa daily. It DOES have a taste, but not nearly as strong as other "unflavored" protein powders. In my personal experience, it does better dissolving in hot liquids. I have tried it in cold, but it did not work to my liking. So hot it is. Overall this is a great product. One that I have used since my VSG, and will continue to use daily for as long as they make it. Update 2/2/15 Update: I have found that each bags has a different texture to it. The last bag I bought was awful. Wouldn't dissolve into anything, hot or cold. Clumps up and makes impossible to consume without gagging. Very disappointed in the last bag that I bought and having a hard time using it up :(

Not completely flavorless
This product is a great way to add protein to your day. Super helpful as a bariatric patient who sometimes struggles with my protein intake. However, I can definitely still taste it in many things when I add it in. I also have experiences some difficulty trying to mix it into colder liquids, which is annoying when I want to drink something iced. I don't particularly want to have to warm it up in order for the powder to dissolve and THEN add ice, especially if it is something I bought already made (like a starbucks iced coffee). However, this DOES work excellently in hot drinks, and I use it daily in my morning coffee with cream and sugarfree syrup. Can't taste it at all in that, and it dissolves like a dream! It just might take a while for you to find a way to use it that really works for you and your preferences!
