I bored a small hole through the support to accommodate the wire/transducer. On the outside face I installed PVC pipe and fittings routed to the pool approx. 3' below the water surface, offering greater protection for the wire/transducer assembly. Water temp. is now readily available at a glance. However the Ambient transducer is located approx. 3' under the surface. So it would make sense that the reading taken deeper would register a slightly cooler temperature. The readings were taken at the same time of day about 2 minutes apart from each other.
