It fits nicely on my desk, and just works.I mostly use it for testing motor encoders and have found it to be accurate and easy to use. The print function to save the graph to a USB stick is handy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Ocsilloscope for hobbyist and Pro's *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 April 2026* Although this Oscilloscope is a few years old now, it's still a very strong, quality product, a big plus for me was that the 50MHz Bandwidth can be upgraded to 100MHz Bandwidth, just do a web search for RIGOL DS1054Z scope 100MHZ upgrade. I'm not going through the in's and outs of the Scope as other reviews have done that .it's basically go everything a hobbyist would want in a value for money scope, it sits nicely of my small desk in the spare room, normally I'd fix my own electronic items at lunch break at work, but I thought it was about time to get an electronics setup at home as I've a few projects to make and this 4 channnel versatile scope is just the thing. I like the fact that you can connect you pc to the scope and record stuffYashima ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Needed a cheap 4 channel stand-alone oscilloscope *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 October 2023* I needed a 4-channel stand-alone scope that could do 50Mhz to work alongside my current 2-channel 25Mhz USB Picoscope. Whilst the latter has been very useful over the years, having an all-in-one unit that does not need to be plugged.into a PC to work would be advantageous.The unit is well built and solid, with most regularly used functions available as buttons or dials on the fascia. It comes with 4 average quality 1/10x probes and a mains power lead. There are a couple of pull-out feet on the base to tilt it at an angle. These feel a bit flimsy, but have survived so far.The screen is very easy to read, but can get a bit busy when there are a number of waveforms on screen. Whilst it's not a MSO, it does offer decoding of a handful of serial protocols, and 4 channels should be enough to cope for most eventualities.It is possible to connect the scope to a network, though I've not investigated that.Finally, why did I choose this scope in particular? If you search online, and at time of this review, it is possible to unlock all the features of the scope using a key generator online.
